A&T lays down 2 perfect squeeze bunts to advance runners and score twice in the bottom of the 6th to go up 4-2. Still batting with the bases loaded and no outs!

Aggies push 4 huge runs over the plate playing some brilliant small ball and now lead 8-2 going to the top of the 8th.

A-! You have to give us a blow by blow on their coach being ejected! Well actually it was carry over from a call strike three on the final pitch of the first game of the doubleheader that gave A&T the 5-4 victory. FAMU Head Coach Jayme Shouppe was thrown out of the game at the top of the second inning in Game 2. He had been wondering out loudly and demonstratively, in the dugout, about the umpire's definition of what constituted the strike zone on call strike 3 early in the second inning. Shouppe then walked out to home plate and called his batter over for some kind of conversation in the middle of an at bat. The ump stopped play to see what the problem was and a big time shouting match ensued. One word led to another and up went the thumb and Shouppe had to be restrained. Shouppe had some choice words about the ump's parentage as he left the field. It fired up the Rattlers for a inning or two as they tied the score at 2 but A&T had a real solid game plan, stuck to it, got great relief pitching, and their bats were alive all day long piling up 15 hits in cruising to a surprisingly lopsided win to seal the deal.

EAST GREENSBORO – Looking for instructions on how a player should play on his or her Senior Day? Senior Jarrett Norman just wrote the book. Norman came into the Aggies crucial Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) doubleheader against Florida A&M on Friday at War Memorial Stadium batting. 190. When the day was over, he was 7-for-8 with two doubles, a home run and five RBI as the Aggies defeated the Rattlers 5-4 in Game 1 and 9-2 in the second game to claim the MEAC Southern Division title for the second straight season. The two wins not only clinched the division title, but it guaranteed the Aggies the No. 1 seed out of the south in the MEAC Championship Baseball Tournament, May 15-18, in Daytona Beach, Fla. A No. 1 seed garners the defending conference champs a first-round bye where they will play their first tournament game noon Thursday.
