Looking at size and heights on paper doesn't mean squat to me! What I want to know is... can anyone hit an open jump shot? We've recruited a lot of "wide bodies" that just clog up the middle but have problems putting the darn ball in the hoop. I'd prefer to recruit shorter players with better shooting skills. Ofcourse, I don't have any championship rings to go with my opinions but this is just my observation. I totally understand your observation, but as they say you can't teach height but you can teach shooting and play making. That is where coaching and hard work come into play.

An early look at the potential roster for the coming year:
Jayla Jones-Pack F/C 6'3 Shantell Bostick G 5'7 C'coriea Foy G/F 6'0 Le'on Hill F 6'2 Taya Jones G 5'9 Alexus Lessears C 6'3 Charme Lilly G 5'6 Cinia McCray G 5'9 Rayven Peeples* F/C 6'2 Kendra Ross F/C 6'3 Jasmen Walton G 5'11 Mikaya Wilson G 5'6 Deja Winters F 5'11 Ya'Taria Coleman G 5'9
Kennedy Boyd G 5'7 Shayla Nelson F 6'0
* questionable It appears the Ladyaggies have all the potential talent to really make an impact and scale heights in and out of the MEAC.But will they put in the hard off season work needed to get better?
Just looked at the 19/20 early roster for the Ladyaggies ,this is shaping up to be an exciting year for Ladyaggie basketball. On paper we have the potential talent to rival any mid major in the country and become part the the national conversation like our Track and Football teams and maybe even our men B Ball team with their recent signings.Hope everyone can play up to their potential.

Here are some of Worthey's 2018 highlights thanks, a1! wow!! i'm impressed!! she's a "defensive beast"!! i must've counted 6 or 7 blocked shots by her in this video and mind you, this is apparently video highlights of just one game. and i know the competition is good because its a "boo williams" tournament and he attracts some of the top aau talent in the country. i luv what i saw! none of that "cute stuff" from this young lady. no fancy dribbling or long range 3 point shooting for this young lady. she's just a "brute force" in the paint and appears to enjoy the physicality of the game instead of that "cute stuff". she is a "banger" and i luv it! she's also a "lefty" who can "score" in the paint. i think she's gonna be a good one for us, especially if she grows another inch by the time she comes to greensboro. she's listed at 6'2" already...

....nice quickness ....doesn't miss point blank shots (still mystified by how our players miss so many easy shots) ....very active hands
She could dominate in the MEAC based upon her height and quickness alone. If she gets a 10-15 foot shot like Quenswayla Story used to have, she'd feast for all 4 years in the MEAC.

Since the team announce the plan trip to play in Puerto Rico in August, it should allow them to start team practice early and should help them be better prepared for the start of the season. It is going to very interesting to see who will be the opponents and we stack up early on.
