Aggies Remain On Top With A Road Win at FAMU NCATAGGIES.COM Sat, Feb 2 TALLAHASEE, Fla. (February 2, 2019) – The North Carolina A&T women’s basketball team is learning how to handle pressure in a variety of ways. The Aggies took another Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference team’s best shot on Saturday and survived with a 56-48 win over Florida A&M at the Al Lawson Center. The Aggies (10-10, 7-0 MEAC) have established themselves as the team everyone wants to knock off. They have won two out of the last three MEAC regular-season and tournament titles. They have won 16 straight regular-season MEAC games dating back to last season. In the last 26 games in which they have faced a MEAC opponent including the conference tournament, they have won 25 times. N.C. A&T has also won 13 straight on the road against MEAC foes. Plus, they sit atop the MEAC standings. Again. Florida A&M threatened to have all the good times come to an end with a pesky full-court pressure defense and a rowdy crowd that tested the Aggies resolve. N.C. A&T persevered through it behind 12 points from junior C’Coriea Foy and nine points and 12 rebounds from freshman Rayven Peeples. “Our young women understand what we’re playing for, what our expectations are,” said N.C. A&T coach Tarrell Robinson. “They play hard. They compete. We make a lot of mistakes, but we play hard. They have discovered that playing hard is always going to put in a position to win every game particularly on the road in the MEAC.” For the rest of the story:www.ncataggies.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=24500&ATCLID=211788958
