We are talking about 3 different incidents now, correct? Yes. 3 separate incidents involving 3 different women. 2 of the incidents involved members of the Band. Did the alleged incidents happen while the students were on "band time"?

Not sure and anything involving the investigations will be sealed from public view except the portions surrounding the police reports.

I would assume Martin can not be very happy with the advice he received from his legal consul or the delayed response of his PR staff. I know I wouldn't be. This who saga was an avoidable PR disaster.
BTW: Sources say the cheerleaders have been benched for the remainder of the season. I guess this means the MEAC tournament also.

Not sure what would happen if our men's or women's teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
That might create even more negative attention when people notice that we are the only school in the Big Dance that doesn't have cheerleaders present.

The BGMM in attenddance would take all attention from missing cheerleaders. Plus admin will probably make a decision by then either reinstate or not

Why should the BGMM get to attend when it was allegedly one of their drum majors who committed the assault?
If the cheerleader leaders are being accused of lack of oversight shouldn't the band leadership be accused of the same thing?

Good point, but they are still allowed to perform at home basketball games, thought that would just flow right to post season

If the cheerleader leaders are being accused of lack of oversight shouldn't the band leadership be accused of the same thing? To me...one has nothing to do with the other. The issue for the cheerleaders is, they don't have a coach while the investigation is currently being done and they cannot cheer without one. They are being investigated over a compliance issue, nothing else. The band has nothing to do with that. And if the young man broke the law in any way, why hasn't he been arrested, charged...anything? We have be mindful of all the factors.

In addition, the accusation was that the cheerleader told the coach and they did not act according to the law. While it seems the accusation against the drum major was not reported to the band director or the staff nor did it occur when the students were under the direct supervision of the band director.

Even without the allegations this does not look good for the cheerleading coach.
