- The institution has reclassified or has announced it will reclassify from Division I or II to Division III and the student-athlete does not play after the school moves to Division III; or
- The school never sponsored the student-athlete’s sport while he or she attended the school, and the student-athlete never previously attended any institution that sponsored the sport.

Back to the drawing board. We probably we need to bring in a FBS or JUCO transfer now to help shore up the defensive line.
That has officially become an area of concern.

So who is our top returning edge rusher right now? Richardson? Karfa Kaba could rise up and be our top edge rusher.

We'll be young on defense in any regard.

Do you think young DEs don't see this as an opportunity and a pathway at yet another position (in addition to DB,RB,OL) at A&T? Watch what happens in recruiting and in the transfer pool. I'm kinda excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks. Bam Bam, good luck in the NFL and make the weight room your friend. AGGIE PRIDE!

I'm not giving up on next year...refuse to accept we will be a middle of the pack team!
We have the talent on both sides on the ball but we be coached up and disciplined...
This is what the coaches get paid for....respct for FAMU, BCU, SCST and all others but this is the MEAC, folks!

If Bam gets drafted anywhere from the 3rd-5th round, this helps our future recruiting more than the Celebration Bowl, TBH. As far as 2019 goes, the biggest beneficiary is Tre Smalls. By not redshirting, Tre has been stuck in a numbers game over the past 3 years and moved to DE this past season. Artavious Richardson was already the clubhouse leader at LDE. Devin Harrell is going to get more of an opportunity. I would also like to see the smaller DTs like Shomari Wallace and Karfa Kaba (if he can get his foot/ankle right) get some more run out on the edge this spring. We could possibly get a bump in recruiting in this cycle, but Bam's effect will be moreso for 2020. 2019 is about developing our existing young talent with an eye on 2020. This is now officially a reload year.

Uhh, not sure we need to tamp down expectations that much this year ... we still have the best overall roster in the MEAC. If we get solid production from the QB position, this offense should be almost unstoppable. Scheme-wise, we still are gonna be built to stop the run on defense and not many teams will be able to emulate what Alcorn did to us.

FAMU actually has the best overall mix of talent/experience on their roster for 2019. We may have the most raw talent, but it's inexperienced. And FAMU is rolling in with a senior QB. So will BCU if Akevious Williams returns to health. We have no clue who will start at QB for us vs. Elon. And if KD doesn't come back... the DT rotation is much more challenged against stopping the run or getting pass rush without blitzing. Of course I want us to win the MEAC again. But the experience level of this group overall doesn't point to that.

This is why rotation is a key experience/performance strategy. Its just as important to YTY performance as it is to game day.
For example, provide the 2nd string 10 plays per game (avg game 60+ plays) equates to two complete games over a season. The consistency improves knowledge and confidence, thus reducing the experience/drop off gap.
