We could certainly build a strong Social Sciences program anchored in Social Justice history and research using your book as an anchor to build curriculum and attract faculty. |

Good morning Aggie family! I encourage you all to check out Henry Louis Gates's latest PBS documentary entitled Making Black America: Through The Grapevine. The first episode premiered last night. There will be four episodes in the series. Your's truly was involved in the documentary and I make an appearance in the first episode and most likely the second. The documentary discusses the importance of carving out Black spaces in America (such as HBCUs) and what that has meant in the struggle for Black liberation. I watched it last night, and I saw you 👍. I kept waiting for an "Aggie Pride", what happen? LOL! Here in the DMV it was preceded by "Harriet Tubman: Visions of Freedom". I'm amazed at how much of our history goes untaught, therefore not handled down. I'm slowly catching up.
