So you mean to tell me the Machine traveled all the way to Daytona Beach, FL and just performed pretty much their same show from the Morgan State game?
.... But they didn't want to travel to Alabama for the Kickoff Classic?

Dont worry. When we form our Civilian Oversight Committee next season, these are the things that will no longer be allowed to happen.
The only reason Dr. Ruff even scheduled this trip is so the Machine could have a 5th quarter battle against Bethune's band ... in front of about 200 remaining fans.
That was not a wise use of a limited travel budget.

I'm sure they will welcome some feedback from the peanut gallery.

Is it me or does it seem like BCU does the same uninspired field show and perform the same musical arrangements every year? Don't get me wrong - They're a nice enough band but they seemingly do the same basic thing every single time I see or hear them.

I'm hoping the thought was that the BGMM battling BCU generated enough youtube interest for recruiting purposes. The MEAC only has 2 or 3 marching band jugarnaughts. Everyone else is lightyears behind.
I do feel they should atleast take care of the home state.

Even their own alumni complain about them on band sites. They want to bring in a younger band director to create more innovative halftime shows.

Not at all...besides, GHOE is in 2 weeks with a Battle against Norfolk state; I wouldn't have wasted a new show on Cookman either...

But this is a far cry from the mid 90's to early aughts, when the MEAC had some entertaining bands.
