What a steal! These highlights make me think about Christian Laettner.

well, one thing for doggone sure, you certainly can't teach 6'11"! he seems to have decent skills, but i'm a little "skeptical" of the competition he played against in his videos. i'm anxious to see how he holds up against meac level competition...

Okay, somebody is yanking my chain. We got a 6'11" young man that looks like he can walk and chew gum actually coming to A&T? Well I be @#$%&*! We have got to hide this kid somewhere until the first basketball game, otherwise he will be "one week and done!" The PWIs will be on him like a chicken on a June bug!

"Skeptical of the competition?" This kid is 6'11"tall. I'm sure he basically plays against YMCA level talent but he's 6'11" and he's wearing an Aggie Basketball jersey. Let's just be happy for that.

The PWIs were already on him. verbalcommits.com/players/harry-morriceSaint Louis, Coastal Carolina, Troy, Vermont (good program), Robert Morris...even BCU stuck their nose in. And it looks like Creighton in the Big East had interest. I believe our willingness to let him major in engineering, the Student Center and our unique scenery sealed the deal. It's time to play ball now!

Let's just be happy for that. hey, i didn't say i wasn't glad we signed him. so let's not read more into my statement than what's there. indeed i am pleased that we signed him. heck, i'm beyond pleased, i'm friggin "ecstatic"! however, i will "always" call it the way that i see it. i don't believe in over hyping our prospects, all that does is build up "expectations" and if the prospect doesn't meet those "expectations", then folks will be disappointed. so i simply call it the way that i see it and that's the way that i saw it on video. now, no doubt whatsoever dude can definitely help our program. but i'd be lying if i said that the competition i saw on video appeared to be "top notch" competition. but that doesn't mean the dude can't play. sorry for being honest, but its just my "opinion". my opinion has been wrong before, so i'm no mel kiper or anything like that. but i watch a lot of basketbell and i referee a lot of high school varsity games. so i see a lot of high school basketball up close in person and i stand by my "opinion" that the competition did not appear to be "top notch". man, we've got to get away from criticizing fellow aggies for giving their "honest opinion". we need "balance" on this message board, we should not be "constrained" to saying only "gratifying things" about aggie athletics if a person doesn't see it that way. folk should have an "open mind" sometimes and allow a different point of view instead of criticizing it...

It's time to play ball now! i think our brand new "student center" has attracted several athletes to sign with a&t, and not just basketball. i think it also helped our track program (we beat out some "power 5" schools), women's basketball and also our football program. but don't get me wrong, i'm not saying the new "student center" is the sole reason they signed, but i believe it most definitely carried significant weight in making their final decisions...

I wouldn't be too worried about his prep school competition given these are the schools that were after him and made him offers. His playing on the FIBA 16 and Under European championship team before going to Beckley Prep kind of speaks for itself.

We will have this young man the entire four years (hopefully) - a true freshman (3.3 GPA) who just turned 19 last month.

But, this pick-up should work really well with Ronald Jackson at the 4 and the other guy we picked up. We should have some exciting basketball this coming season.
