I'm a member of the Victory Club. Is there a benefit to joining the Aggie Club or should I just stay put? Yo man, maybe you can tell me what the Victory Club has done, is doing, or plan to do for Aggie Athletics. Why join the Victory Club over the Aggie Club or vice versa?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe Renick sprearheaded the creation of the Victory Club to attract more high-dollar boosters and also provide some friendly competition for the Aggie Club . That ploy has seemed to work because now the number of $1000 dollar contributers has gone up, and the Aggie CLub and VC both hate each other like crips and bloods.

The University has a vested interest in the success of the VC. The Chancellor installed Phillip McAlpin, a university employee, to serve as Executive Director of the Club. The club is rumored to have a pretty high overhead and has not yet netted the university one dime.

TOPPDOG,
You are correct in your assessment. J. J. White and Hoard were the people instumental in the inception of the Victory Club. There are $1000 contributors to the Aggie Club. Hopefully, they will eventually merge. The university must be careful not to put a premium on belonging to either club i.e., pressuring people to contribute high dollars to either of the clubs to enjoy certain perks, such as choice of seats and season tickets. This tactic may cause people to stop giving to other more needy areas (academics) of the university. Folks will contribute all of their money to athletics and very little to the other areas. I believe that if a person contributes a $1000 to the university's general fund or a particular School or College, that person should be entitled to the same perks as the Aggie and Victory Club members.
