Is there an online way to join and/or pay dues for the Aggie Club? I know there's one here in Charlotte but I'm so busy these days it's hard for me to be very active in another organization. Even though I can't be very active right now I still would like to join and pay $$ for activities. I followed the links on the athletic site thinking I could join and pay that way but it appears I was wrong. I'll just sacrifice and go to the next meeting here, but dang what about folks who are in cities that don't have an Aggie Club?

I'm in the Gbo Aggie Club, but I don't go to the meetings. I just send them the dues and they send me info every now and again.
There is no Aggie Club where I live.

Well I've never seen it so tough to give someone my money. I think the Aggie Club is meeting here in Charlotte tomorrow so Imma try to be there. Why can't there just be an online method of joining?

I got this packet in the mail over the weekend where you pledge $300 which is deducted over three straight months off your credit card.
What they really to do is allow monthly direct payroll deductions like the United Way does with their annual campaign drives with state employees which spreads it out over a longer period without breaking people's monthly budgets.
That same $300 equates out to $25 a month (price of a fifth of Crown Royal) and is much easier on people out there with familes and what not. Once folks sign up for it, that becomes continuous funding every month all year long for an indefinite period with the option to increase the your donor amount once a year if you choose to.
That makes far more sense to me, and the Aggie Club would probably get twice or three times as many donors and members than they currently have now. Most every good athletic program I know of has that set-up and it works beautifully.

I'm a member of the Victory Club. Is there a benefit to joining the Aggie Club or should I just stay put?

I'm a member of the Victory Club. Is there a benefit to joining the Aggie Club or should I just stay put? The answer is no as long as you give over $1,000 to the Aggie Club your perks are exactly the same as the Victory Club. The Aggie Club does have many more members so that maybe a benefit. If you're talking strictly athletic perks then no there is no advantage one way or the other.

I'm familiar with what the Aggie Club does and has done from a giving standpoint, but can someone tell me what the Victory Club's contribution has been to Aggie Athletics.

The Aggie Club function is as it has always been, to raise funds for athletics. The financial support is greater from the Aggie Club. The goal (I suspect) is to have all Aggie Club members become Victory Club members or $1k donors to the Aggie Club.
Joining the Aggie Club is not a difficult thing to do. The club has been in existence since the days at Memorial Stadium.

I know about the Aggie Club contributions; feeding the team, $100K donation each of the last three years, buying the wrap for the equipment truck, acting a ushers/ticket takers for Aggie home Basketball games, etc. But I don't know about the Victory Club's contributions. The question before the board is: Since its inception what has the Victory Club done for Aggie Athletics?

I tried to apply on-line to join the Aggie Club also, when that didn't work I called the ticket office and Patsy gave me the name of Jim Pender, President. He sent me the information. I hope this helps.

The Victory Club is not an organized entity as is the Aggie Club. They are large financial contributors or donors to the Athletics Dept.. They contribute a minimum of $1000 per year, but they are not the fund raising arm for A&T athletics and they don't perform the small or large tasks that are done by the Aggie Club members in support of athletics. The Aggie Club can be best described as the grass root supporters. They are at the beck and call of athletics willing to do whatever is necessary to assist A&T athletics. The numbers of Victory Club members is not large but seems to be growing. However, there are $1000, $500, $300 and $100 a year contributors to the Aggie Club. In order to be a sustaining member of the Aggie Club, one must contribute each year. Most of you on this board are aware of this information. It's not new to you.
If A&T is to succeed in athletics, alumni and friends are going to have to increase their financial support to the university.
