If Martin keeps up this pace he may declare for the draft, trust me in this guys Timing is the key . The hill is a lot more steeper for a running back coming from the FCS , D-2 & 3 and NAIA then it would be for a P-5 upper tier BCS programs . The word is always THE LEVEL OF COMPETITION when and FCS RB declares for the draft early. What works for a big body lineman will not work for a RB or most of the so called skill positions when it comes to being drafted . But it all depends on who you talk to and who is advising the player . My personal opinion is this ; If Martin wants to get drafted he needs to stick around get his degree and show up and out as a senior . Get an NFL combine invite , make a few of the all Star teams and have a bangup Pro day . If he does that he will get drafted . But I don't see him taking that Leep as a RB coming from the FCS . In my opinion .

To be honest. If NCAT were stat chasers..... Jah-Maine could possibly have had over 1200 in 7 games.......wow. Imagine if we added that extra game this season

I don't like how our OC or head coach uses Martin in the game as far as consecutive carries.
In the SC State game he would carry the ball one time and they would take him out of the game and replace him with another runner to carry the ball.
To me using him in this manner kills his momentum and rythm. I just don't get it. If they would let him carry the ball to get his rhythm going he would break all the rushing records at A&T.

Martin's problems was not him getting his rhythm the problem was you had two offensive and defensive lines that were equally matched . Martin is one Hale of a Runner but he is not Superman . There was one hit on Martin near the A&T sideline he got up gingerly That hit shook Martin up . Coach Washington did his job because although Martin looked like he was initiating the contact he took a number of hard hard hits from the SCSU Defense they were dialed in on Martin every move . Hopefully he will be ready to take it out on MSU this weekend .

In the few carries he got he was close to breaking a long one but, they would take him out. I'm not sure but, it seemed like Carter had more carries than Martin.

Just as Famu did In stopping the big runs by Martin , SC did the same . But this shouldn’t make him feel as he failed himself or the team. Sc state defensive line were some beast as well. On a good note Martin became the 9th 1000 yd rusher at A&T and let’s also include his 12/13 touchdowns on the season already with 3 games left and hopefully the Celebration Bowl.

Jay Walker mentioned a couple of times that S.C. was loading the box and daring Carter to beat them with the pass. Well, we beat them with the pass! Just taking what the defense gives us.
Those boys on the D line were bringing the wood. Im sure Martin is feeling it today
