last year the ghoe alumni concert tickets "soldout" in a matter of about 2 weeks after they first went on sale in late august and i was fortunate enough to purchase mine before they were all gone.
so does anybody know who will be performing this year? and far more importantly, does anybody know when the 2018 aggie alumni "ghoe" concert tickets will be going on sell? i don't wanna miss out like i did 2 years ago...

I feel you brother. I kept calling and getting a busy signal, hanging up and redailing for an hour. Finally got through and got my tickets. Honestly, I think we should have two alumni concerts...one on Friday night and one on Saturday night. GHOE has grown to the point that we could fill two concerts. The Friday night event could be a banquet for the old school Aggies and the one on Saturday night could be more of a dance with a local live band.

I haven't heard anything yet about who's performing or when tickets will go on sale. I'm sure someone on this site has some insider info!

I understand one performer will be Babyface. Don't know who else. They'll announce it once all the contracts with agents are signed.

Saturday night has been the “alumni dance” in the Guilford Ballroom. I believe last year they had BelaDona the female gogo band out of DC. Since rotating off the alumni BOD they’ve stepped up Saturday night at the Sheraton. Folks just gotta be willing to pay to go in that party....

I know the GHOE events for the undergrad are being announced next week. I assume the alumni events will be shortly after that

To get a ticket you will need to do a rain dance without rain, throw six horseshoes over your shoulder and buy a dozen rabbit feet. Even if you get up and go to the Event Center at 5:00am on the day tickets go on sale, does not mean you will get a ticket. Some how VIPs, and maybe some of you are VIPs, get to purchase tickets in advance (like really early). When the proletarians arrive on the day the tickets go on sale, they are in shock because more that half the tables have already been sold. They will sit in an area outside of the alumni office (staffed by two or three people) and wait to be called into the office to purchase a ticket, and in the mean time those tables or seats that were available disappear. Many of the folks there, waited 4-5 hours and didn't get a ticket. So hopefully, you folks are lucky enough to get a table or seats.

Back when I was a $1000 donor (before wives and kids) I had no issue getting tix. If one of y'all is a VIP donor and is willing to trust the others, maybe you could buy tix up in advance for all interested parties and get reimbursement through paypal from the parties. Or get a table and y'all could sit together and get reimbursement.

i think we should consider a larger venue since every year there's such a high demand for the alumni concert tickets. but someone else suggested "raising" the ticket prices which indeed would reduce the demand. but to me, ghoe should be about alums having an opportunity to enjoy themselves rather than being priced out of attending a marquee event like the alumni concert. let's just find a larger venue, ticket prices are already "steep" and they don't need to be increased...

I'm bracing myself for lots of dialing and frustration trying to get through to buy a table. I guess this is the norm now for everything associated with GHOE!
