Thrilla,
Is that Brandon Holland kid #93, the new big DT (goes about 6-5, 285)and who was on the first team D-line in place of Greeson while he's healing, the same kid that signed last year with VA Tech last year out of Hargrave Military?

I wasn't able to catch up with my source tonight but I don't think our Holland is the same one in those recruiting links. VA Tech has a Brandon Holland listed on their website who they say already signed a LOI with them www.hokiesports.com/football/2005recruits/I also checked the Hargrave website and the only player they have signing with us is a DB named Billy Hansford. www.hargrave.edu/athletics/signings_popup.php?season_id=32We probably could use that Hansford guy to provide some much-needed quailty depth in our secondary.

I wonder because when I searched their 2005 spring and projected fall roster he didn't show up on either.
Billy Hansford is either going to be a DE, TE, or ILB. The guy is 6-3 and 235 and runs a 4.8 forty. Most likely he 'll be at LB which Rivals had him listed as a two star prospect.

You're right, Hansford appears to be a linebacker: Ht: 6-1 Wt: 235 Position: LB Projected as: LB Position Rank: NR Class: 2005 Senior High School: Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA) Looks like he may need to work on his upper body strength: recruiting.scout.com/2/327500.html

I was told that Quante Speight participated in spring practice in full gear last night for the first time. I was told he really looked good running the ball and took hits without any problems. I was also told that he might play in the spring game. Were any BDF members at practice last night, if so, how did he look?

I WAS OUT THERE, AND INDEED HE PRACTICE. HE LOOK LIKE HIS OLD SELF EXCEPT ONE PLAY WERE HE TIED TO CUT BACK AND COULD NOT. HE IS ABOUT 90% READY. THE WAY IT LOOKS HE WILL PLAY IN SAT. GAME. COACH PATTERSON JUMP ALL OVER HIM FOR THE CUT BACK AND HE DID NOT SEE ANY ACTION THE REST OF THE NIGHT. BUT IF HE HAD MADE THAT CUT HE WAS GONE.

Dayum our running back situation is looking great!
With Mini-Mo, Chaz, Sweeney and the rest, this could be the best RB corps in the conference.
