i'm a big ahmed bah fan!! that dude is a "game changer". he just had to wait his turn, and now its his turn! thank gawd we have qb's who can actually get the ball to him and the rest of our receivers, which to me (wr's) is still our "deepest" and most "dangerous" offensive position. if our o-line can get the job done this season, again our offense will be "high scoring" and very difficult for any meac team to stop...

Difficult for anyone on our schedule to stop. The addition of Matthews makes me rest easier about the o-line. I realize they have to gel but they have experience plus they will go up against one of the best defensive fronts in all of FCS football on a daily basis.

As long as our OL keeps Lamar healthy, we will put up points against all teams. Our coaches just need to develop their in game, situational strategy. Being in those close games against Charlotte, Bethune Cookman and Grambling should pay off dividends against Jacksonville State and East Carolina.

The Bah Kid is a player great size look for him to shine this year. The Key to season on offense is the line Play. LAST YEAR Raynard played in games he barely got touch.I think he played in three or four games with same Jersey, it was need to wash it. Also any word on James Artis is he still on the team.

Here's another clip of Bah from last summer: www.dropbox.com/s/480yluq2drzj4hm/20170819_094648.mp4If Bah has the offense down.... he can be deadly.

On the second clip....That was a poorly thrown ball (short & thrown to far inside) could have been intercepted. Bahl is a talent....he slowed his route then adjusted to the ball which was thrown way to far inside. Trust me that is an interception if thrown to a average receiver.

It is gonna be a virtual Hunger Games to decide who gets playing time this year between Hunt, Bah and Leslie.
I dont know how you can sit any one of them.

And Malik Wilson, who is still the best deep threat on the team... and Hicklin in the slot as a senior.... and Leroy Hill. Our receiving corps is better than a bunch of FBS schools. Like I said before... if Coach Hester wanted Coach Barnette to get off to a great start as a playcaller, then this year was the best time to give him that chance.

We could run a lots of 00 and 01 packages (5 WR & 4WR/TE) this year. Coach Barnette did that plenty with Guilford College too. If I were the OC with the receiving corp we have, I'd be watching a bunch of NFL game film on how to properly utilize these packages. That surrounds having the quarterback getting the ball out their hands quickly, which is something Lamar can do. The offense would be a cross between Atlanta/Philly/New England, with sprinkles of Alabama's spread RPO's mixed in. If ran correctly, Lamar would easily throw for over 275 yards each and every game with well over 20 TD's to end the season.

We'll have games, especially early on where Lamar will complete passes to up to 8 different receivers. All he has to do is just find the open man. However, Bell will be our #1 option. It's just that teams can't completely key on taking him away. Double team him and everyone else will feast!

See, this is why I am still bummed that Hester left when he did. Our offense is poised to put up pinball numbers this year, but now we have to deal with a new level of uncertainty with the scheme and playcalling.
However, I dont want Tarik to cuss me out so I will just let it go ...

Let the timing of the coaching change go, but don't let go of the fact that 1) We haven't named a new offensive coordinator or co-offensive coordinators 2) We don't have a WR coach 3) We are down TWO coaching positions from last year (DC/Asst Head Coach and OC/WR) At a minimum we should be hiring two new position coaches so the coordinators can focus and CO-ORDINATE.
