And another reason why the game zone was the worst decision in the 21st century in Aggie football..for the many of us who have to set up the tailgate which on homecoming is around 8:30 9 we are now locked in that cage for the remainder. forget if I have kids that need to be picked up after the parade. Or a elderly parents that needs help because the walk is too far, or go see the cousin that is at the tailgate on Laurel. It's freaking horrible and all for a reason you can't stop anyway. all that inconvenience for no extra money no extra people.. for no reason at all. Zilch.

Well I don't know the real capacity but whatever it is, it's sold out! I've gotten two phone calls from complete strangers looking for game tickets. I think the NCCU fans bought all our tickets rather than attend their weakazz homecoming. Lol

FYI...if any of you remember the Howard GHOE game in I think ‘’91 or ‘92, Jay Walker vs Maynor, #5 vs #3 FCS! The announced crowd was 33k in the stadium not to mention the tailgate. The 27k seems about right to me without the temp bleachers filling in the horseshoe and stadium municipal fire code regulations.

It was '93 and our qb was Bolin. During that time we went over 18,500 (the max without the horseshoe additions) and 21,500 (the max with the additions) every homecoming. We'd generally just sell tix until halftime. In '93 I think they just sold until they ran out of printed tix.

Once again, how did our seating capacity go from 27,769 this summer ... back to 21,500 this past weekend?
What is going on with the stadium attendance and why can't we seem to figure out what we want it to be?

They should drop Game Zone for homecoming only because the logic doesn't really work on that day. Its just an inconvenience to everyone and it doesn't yield any more money that day. At least do a $5-$10 Game Zone only ticket.

Did they have the clear bag policy in place this weekend?
If so, how did that work for everyone?

They did have the clear bag policy, but they make exceptions for older ladies. The private vendor helped make entering the stadium much quicker.

We should also fluctuate ticket prices based off demand. The last 5k general admission tickets should have been minimum $50 and go up from there. Instead the students and scalpers are making out like bandits, while A&T marketing still operate a Div. 1 game like a high school game. If they maximized homecoming we would not need a gamezone at all. It would certainly pay for the freeloaders using the portal potty.

The so called "freeloaders" are just on Laurel st. I will say this though. Laurel St and the the Game Zone are two COMPLETELY different vibes. But I think they would stay differen, even without the Game Zone. Laurel Street tailgaters are not season ticket holders.

The vibe in the new Student Center was good and was a direct result of great leadership.

I say leave it as it is, it's not broke! I'm for safety and convenience, the school does not have security or maintenance capacity to have an overflow of people in the stadium area. It's already hard enough to get around during HC in the game zone. I'm not greedy, and I don't think 5 and dime tickets will make that much of a difference than already having people pay $35 and $50 dollars.

I'm not greedy, and I don't think 5 and dime tickets will make that much of a difference than already having people pay $35 and $50 dollars. The system is so broke it's embarrassing. Just because it works doesn't mean it's not broke. Were missing out on hundreds of thousands a year because it's so broke. Should a person sitting on the away side far corner pay the same as the person sitting on the home side beside the band. There is a thing called value, supply and demand simple principles that are just ignored. The Gamezone is a logistical nightmare period. We need to revamp the whole thing, to reflect that we are in the 21st century. Seating chart, ticket prices, everything. To say that all of Aggie Football is General or reserved is short sighted. We're too worried about the freeloaders using the bathroom for free. Meanwhile we've lost millions since this thing has been implemented. Oh well as long as someone doesn't eat a hot dog that I didn't pay for..we're good.

Blah blah blah, cry me a river. I like the gamezone concept, what makes it a logistical nightmare are the security measures. People can get a tailgate spot outside the fenced I area.
