I don’t know what Joyner did, but it’s a moot point. There’s no way he should get this job back. Coach Jones may be the answer especially if we have to pay 2 coaches at once. I don’t know the status of Joyner’s contract but worst case scenario we should be able to pay both without too many problems.

And with every game and social media post I'm becoming more excited with him continuing as our head coach.

I think he has done an outstanding job considering the circumstances of how he was put into this position.
He has demonstrated the ability to change the game plans and sets on the "fly" and be successful. His players respect him and play hard for him. He treats them firm but fair.
I think Joyner days are over with each passing game. He will never ever regain the trust and respect from these players.
I think Coach Jones should get first shot at the job unless they have a super dynamite replacement.
Then that would be rude and disrespectful!

I think there's one thing we can safely say. Will Jones will be SOMEONE's D1 Head Men's Basketball Coach in 2020-21. Agreed, Jones will be somebody’s coach next year. I hope he is our coach. Not only is he likable, modern, but from the looks of it this guy can teach, coach and motivate! To throw alley hoops is one thing but to teach spacing, angles and plays to pull it off is another thing. These guys run the lanes hard and play aggressive defense. No one on this site has criticized his strategy or in game adjustments. "Drive wide, pass it to your teammates." Simple reminder for the concept taught in detail behind the scenes.

from my perspective, barring a total collapse, the job belongs to jones, period. how can anybody watch this team play in corbett and see how our students and alums respond to such highly "entertaining" performances by our team but not give jones the job?
the man is the "lead recruiter", so clearly our recruiting won't be hurt if we hire jones. he's already got the nc state transfer coming in next season. with only 4 regular season games to go and like i said, barring a total collapse which is very unlikely, hiring jones to me is a "no brainer" low risk decision. and probably a "low cost" decision as well in terms of salary...

WTF! How the hell can Moton be the "front-runner?" He got out-coached last Monday by an "interim" coach! We'll see how we do in Durham and in the Tournament.
Front-runner: LeVelle Moton, North Carolina Central
Randy Miller Jr., a preseason all-MEAC second-team selection, hasn't played since early December and C.J. Keyser (9.5 PPG) has missed five MEAC games, both due to injury. Still, Moton's squad had won five in a row before Monday night's loss to rival North Carolina A&T.
Top competition: Willie Jones, North Carolina A&T
Yes, Jones is the acting head coach after head coach Jay Joyner was suspended in December for what the school has called a "personnel" matter. His squad is now 9-3 in the MEAC, with a real shot at the league crown.

It's going to be interesting to see if the MEAC will award the Coach of the Year award to an interim coach without him having to win the tournament .
