That is so true Thrilla. However, I made the statement because some people are repetitious and are just spewing rhetoric.
There is a reason for the delay in making the War a magical palace. We can talk until the cows come home but until "they" decide to do something about it, it ain't no use
Perfect example the "grass" situation.
The $500,000 grand should get the ball moving sooner rather than later.

Looks horrible up close... video excited me as far as the history and to know we truly own it now. Then that $20 million price tag killed me lol. I think we should push this to the national level and hopefully some big baseball fans can pitch in some money. It’s one of the oldest stadiums in the county and the oldest in North Carolina this is literal history.

With the historical value of this stadium the marketing value in the baseball community is endless. I hope we get started soon and that the renovation makes it the talk of the baseball community
I am not a baseball guy but baseball people love the nostalgia of the game. I get Grasshopper’s have a new stadium but history is big in baseball. This could produce tons of marketing opportunities

Once upon a time couldn't you put a few classrooms in a building and get state funding for the whole building?
If that's still the case could we theoretically add a few classrooms, throw ROTC classes over there and move the plane to the frontside of the stadium to complete the aesthetic? All on the state's dime?

Westcoast Aggie said we have already secured $8.5 M from some historical grant. As Dooms suggested maybe getting the State to pick up the rest by moving ROTC it’s the perfect fit.

Would be nice if we could get the Yankees to kick in some money , I believe they were the Major league franchise before they moved to the new stadium downtown ,also add Derek Jeter to the list of greats who came through the their farm system and played there .

This is where we need that new Deputy AD for fundraising and development. Somebody to work the phones and attract big name MLB donors.
