I agree we need to display our championship banners at the stadium. I think SCSU also have banners hanging from concourse on the home side. We could hang them (somehow) in a similar fashion in the concourse entry way or in the spot where the current "Aggies Win" banner is hanging at the bottom of the pressbox. SCSU only notates the year on the pressbox. I don't know if I like that as much.

One player for each award.

We need a structure to display our championships. I'll take a scaled down version of what the Pats have, especially if we don't build the end zone building we can build it there

We need to install full-width wall art like this in Corbett, Moore Gym and all throughout BB&T Stadium: Thats actually what they have on the entire interior of the Burr, ceiling to floor, wrapping the entire corridor wall art, depicting Bison athletic accomplishments

I guess the central question of this thread has just been answered.
We are now headed to the Big South Conference.
Most of us knew that change was inevitable and necessary, but let's see how this move will specifically affect our overall growth as an athletic department and university.

It seemed to put a serious push in the trajectories of Coastal and Liberty. Hopefully it will do at least as much for us.

Here's what I said two years ago: Also, I do not think the MEAC remains a FCS conference in 5 more years. I see SCSU dropping down to D2 in all sports once Pough retires, followed by NCCU and Norfolk. Once that happens the Florida schools will have no reason to remain and it will become a virtual footrace to see who can secure a lifeboat before the Titanic is underwater. Hampton saw the writing on the wall and got a spot in the Big South. Morgan is probably waiting to see how the Pirates adjust to their new home and then try to follow suit. We need to be preparing our exit strategy right now. No MEAC means no Celebration Bowl. No Celebration Bowl and no playoffs means the SWAC will probably all drop down to D2. They have no incentive not to. It is conceivable that A&T could be one of the few, if not the only, HBCU playing at the FCS level by 2023. Good news for us is that we are currently the largest and one of the most visible HBCUs in the nation. It is absolutely imperative that we maximize our current position to secure our future. That's why it is always important to have a vision and ponder about what will happen next ...

Visionary, except the SWAC will never drop to d-2. They'll have a SWAC champion and be done with it.

The SWAC will go D2 as soon as the Celebration Bowl contract is not renewed.
No playoffs and No CB equates to being stranded in the FCS Wilderness. There would be no avenue for them to ever gain exposure as a conference. At least the CIAA and SIAC still would have an option for the postseason.
Hell, I could even see ESPN reducing is current media package with the SWAC if the Celebration Bowl is no longer the final destination.

Nah. They're d-1 to a) say they are, and b) for the basketball money. Half the conference or more already does not have the money to fund a d-1 program, but they will not budge. They would go non-scholarship football (they won't do that either) before moving to d-2.
They'll go back to the SWAC championship format and that'll end the season. Not much different than the Pioneer League or the Ivy League in that regard.

I used to think that way ... until I witnessed the D2 playoff run that WSSU went on a couple of years back.
They garnered just as much regional attention that year as A&T has gotten during our Celebration Bowl titles. Everybody was talking about Maynor and the Rams that year and how they were arguably the best team in the nation.
I think a lot of the SWAC teams would immediately become powerhouses at the D2 level and that would greatly improve some of their fanbase's deep-rooted self esteem issues.
As much as they claim they dont care about being isolated from the FCS world, they would love to consistently beat nearby PWI schools.
