Tarik is going to need combat pay on top of his regular contract. We've all known that the Bears' offensive line is not very good. The bears had a very good offensive line last season as Jordan Howard was #2 in the NFL in rushing. Denver is just an elite defense.

If he is going to be the # two back he got to prove he can play the full game Remember was a we ran him to death and he only got stronger as the game went on Not saying that's the Bear's plan but if Howard gets hurt he the man

ya'll do know that tarik was 2nd for chicago in rushing in the first half, right? Tarik actually led them in rushing at the half. But being honest... that doesn't mean a whole lot because they only gave Jordan Howard 3 carries. It was a get in/get out night for their bellcow RB. Tarik is absolutely going to be a big part of the Bears' offense, though. The fact that Tarik didn't really get targeted in the passing tonight is telling. Similar to the Panthers with Christian McCaffrey... the Bears aren't tipping their hand with how they intend to use Tarik. But it's exciting to watch all this unfold.

Tarek showed them everything they wanted to see they are treating him like a starter thus the limited carries. I agree entirely they are not going to tip their hand with Cohen on third down swing passes. I think we got remember Cohen is not fighting for a spot on this team.
That 11 yard run in the first quarter was awsome

How you gone run better against the got dam Denver Broncos than you do against SC Steat? Lol.
I know Trubisky is playing against guys that'll be detailing my car in two weeks, but him and Cohen in the backfield is gonna be a problem at some point.

He does not have to be the focal point of the defense and they can pair him up in a speed package with the other Shifty backs. The Kid is in a good situation not being the focal point but being one of the main contributors.

Cohen's game translated to the pro game exactly how I thought it would. He's still not going to take any big hits. The Bears coaching staff is going to learn the same thing that our coaching staff learned when he first got on campus. He's going to be a lot more than just a third down, change of pace back.

Bears RB Tarik Cohen shows speed can translate to game action2017 BEARS TRAINING CAMP 08/11/2017, 12:21am Bright spots were hard to find for the first 28 minutes of the preseason game against the Broncos on Thursday at Soldier Field. Mike Glennon had a passer rating of zero, the Bears’ defense committed penalties on four consecutive plays and the sideline chains broke. Rookie running back Tarik Cohen looked to be the biggest reason for optimism, that is until quarterback Mitch Trubisky ran the two-minute drill that led to a touchdown to end the first half. The 5-6 running back did his best to show that his captivating training camp can translate to game action. Cohen, whom the Bears consider a true third-down back, showed that he’s more than a pass catcher. His speed translated into outside runs, and his body withstood the punishment of live NFL action. The fourth-round pick carried seven times in the first half for 39 yards. Had he not grazed the sideline on a spin move, he would have finished with double the yardage. He was the team’s first choice to return punts, too, taking one for 17 yards before Eddie Jackson replaced him late in the second quarter. “Tarik flashed quite a bit at training camp, and we’ve seen a lot of what he’s capable of,” coach John Fox said. “I think most people saw it [Thursday].” Chicago.suntimes.com

A&T's Tarik Cohen impressive in debut with Chicago Bears Staff Reports
Tarik Cohen, the Chicago Bears' fourth-round draft pick from A&T, made a strong impression in the team's NFL preseason opener on Thursday night. Cohen, the all-time leading rusher in A&T and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference history, rushed seven times for 39 yards in the first half. Coach John Fox liked what he saw of the 5-foot-6, 170-pound native of Bunn. “Tarik flashed quite a bit at training camp, and we’ve seen a lot of what he’s capable of,” Fox said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “I think most people saw it (Thursday).” Cohen played eight snaps, mostly with the first-team offense, according to 247sports.com. "He’s just dynamic," said wide receiver Victor Cruz, a former Pro Bowl player, via CSN Chicago. "He’s one of those guys that has that speed and agility and quickness that you can’t coach."
