I hear that the basketball programs have aplenty of recruits coming in for this week's game.

After looking at their film, all three of them would be great additions, especially Rountree. He reminds me a whole lot of Mo Hicks in his running style, a pure I formation tailback.

Rountree's tape looks solid. Hes not running away from anyone at D1 level, but he's definitely above average on his vision & cuts. Most of his highlights are on "gap" plays (dive, off-tackle, sweep). We're mostly zone-blocking, so that would be a change-up that you wouldn't be able to calculate how that would translate as a freshman.
I say all to that to say that he likely won't be a Tarik Cohen-level freshman... but I'd feel real comfortable about him being a good 3-year starter for us if we can land him.
And this is junior tape... so the senior year tape should look even better.

looks like a "stud" to me! and i might have to disagree with my boy durham, i think he can run away from folks at the d1 level. all depends on the "competition level" of the guys he's playing against in his video. if the competition is top competition, then i'm pretty sure he'll have break away speed at the d1 level, especially fcs.
and he was only a junior in that video? yeah, i think he's a big time back. and a1 nailed it, looks like a perfect "clone" of mo hicks...

Ha, ha.... no top level DBs in those clips. And he chops his stride, so he COULD be faster. That's a tough habit to break while wearing pads, though. But his breakaway speed isn't his biggest skill. We both agree that his senior year film could definitely paint a clearer picture, which is what the teams offering him are seeing. This is great that we're in the game, though.

Shouldn't all these be listed on a new thread titled 2017 offers?

Hey, at this level, we are "Running Back U" so whoever Broadway brings in will be good. And we can forget about replacing Cohen...ain't happening again in our life time!

This is great that we're in the game, though. i got my fingers crossed that he’ll sign with us, but i’m not counting on it. to me, this guy is a big time back. he has size, toughness, and speed. even demonstrated in his first clip that he has good hands, grabbing a “one handed” catch and holding onto it even though he hit the ground hard. i’ll take your word on the competition level because i don’t know. but he certainly did out run some guys even though they had very good angles on him. and at 196 lbs as a junior, he already has d1 “size” and will likely push 200 lbs as a senior. i really like this guy, hope we sign him but its gonna be difficult given that fbs schools are also vying for his services...

I'm very happy we are offering players like this. If he says no we have lost nothing. Plus having top talent showing interest and coming for a visit speaks to where we are going as a program.
We have a lot to offer shouldn't sell ourselves short when it comes to attracting talent.
