I keep saying that Bell does what we are not good at covering. AND NCCU defense is much better than BCU. Its going to be a game folks.

I think NCCU'S running game isn't what it was last year either. They couldn't run the ball on Savanah at all. Unless Savanah's defense is just that good. If we staple the run and have 5 picks, the game will not be close, period.

After finally watching the game I'm not quite as concerned about the secondary, especially in the first half. Brihm was throwing some friggin lasers where only his guys could make the catch. I'm a little concerned about the busted coverages and the lack of a push up the middle. I agree the lack of push in the middle and overall poor pass rush is what Coach Washington and Broadway will put and emphasis on correcting. This was really a display of how improved our offence is in 2016. On a side note; I am not sure if Brihm had his best game ever but take away the pick 6 he threw the guy was outstanding; I dont think we will see any team on the schedule that will have equal or better QB play and wide receiver speed than BCU.

I want to see what's up with those 5 INTs that Bell threw Saturday. Can you imagine THIS board if Raynard threw for 300 yards and 5 INTs? LOL And I'm not prepared to say that NCCU's defense is better than BCU. BCU's offense has hung their defense out to dry. Outside of their FBS games, NCCU has played some offensive offenses this year.... and Norfolk still put up 31 pts on 'em. NCCU beating BCU without Brihm carries a big asterisk on it based on Saturday's performance. But they'll be ready to play when we come to town, so it almost all goes out the window. On to Howard...

Central ain't that good folks. Stop over-respecting these dudes. There's no way people can convince me they are within 10 points as good as us, if we play like we're capable of. BCU's receivers were cat quick. Their top 2 receivers were picked all-MEAC. Brihm was a 3rd team preseason all-MEAC. Thus far, we've beaten 2nd team all-MEAC QB in Hankerson (35-0) and 3rd team all-MEAC QB in Brihm (52-35). Central did not have an all-MEAC WR or TE.
BCU's offense (with Brihm running the show) will be the most explosive offense we will face all season. Central has to show me something. I ain't worried about them. This Aggie team I've seen over these past few weeks may be one of the best MEAC teams that have been around in awhile....

Sometimes the other team just does a good job. BCU did an awesome job of blitz pickup up the middle. Their C was very adept at calling out blitzes and someone getting a hat on the MLB. And their OTs were solid. Now the edge blitzes... different story. Taylor was getting home. Deion Jones got home a time or two. Brihm was just really dialed in on his timing with his WRs and made plays. We also bailed them out in the 1st half with unnecessary face-mask penalties (one by Jones, one by McKnight). We were playing a talented, desperate team who gave everything they had. It speaks volumes that we were able to raise our offensive performance to another level in that environment given the circumstances.

Our guys have to mentally block out the last 2 years and dust Central off like they're capable of doing!

The thing we have to remember about Central (and every other opponent we play) is that every team we play against is going to be HIGHLY motivated to beat us. We're going to get every team's best game. The games we're using to judge our remaining opponents can be thrown out the window.
A desperate team or a team with nothing to lose could very well change their whole offense prior to playing us. Hampton did it a few years ago and it worked. The one good thing about us having a tougher schedule than Central is that there's only one team that may possibly change up on us, and that's Howard. They have nothing to lose. FAMU and Del State have rather new coaches who still have some time to try and turn their teams around. SC Steat and Central are just good teams, period.
Nobody expected BCU to throw for almost 400 and score 35 on us. These things can't always be predicted.

Its hilarious that y'all are dismissing NCCU like they didn't beat us for 2 straight years when we had a better team on paper both times. SCSU and NCCU are going to be tough games and just like the last couple of years, if we dont come and execute we can lose. Simple as that.

There's no way Brihm starting at QB loses to Central by 17...... There's no way Brihm starting at QB loses to SSU..... Brihm got hurt vs Tenn St. Check out his stats in this game to the 2 dudes who replaced him (night and day).
Akevious Williams (BCU's redshirt QB) has been awful......that's who was playing mostly against NCCU. Brihm couldn't even go part of the game against Central. When he did, he scored a passing TD. You all need the BCU stats in each game (with Brihm and without Brihm). If Akevious Williams played Saturday, BCU would have gotten pummeled by us.....Don't underestimate how good Brihm is.

On a side note the loss to Tulsa looks better every week. Tulsa should have beaten #18 Houston Saturday; Tulsa threw a late 4th qtr interception to give Houston the win 38 - 31.

This is true Brihm had 4 pass attempts during the NCCU game completed 2 and one was a TD.

Brihm being in the game and putting up points really has no bearing. I'm not worried about our offense scoring at least 30. I'm worried about giving up 30. My point is if Brihm can do it then Bell is capable of doing it. Forget the 5 ints. Thats a fluke. He's proven to be dangerous for us and other MEAC teams. Their play calling is heavy toward what we have trouble defending. Has been for the last 2 years. All I'm saying is the team better come in with there A game and put this thing away early this year. And that goes for SCSU also.

you do realize Bell threw for over 300 yards and 2tds . And another 1 rushing. Forget those 5 ints.

AM, Believe me (in my Donald Trump voice)....no one has more respect for NCCU than me..... With that said, I just don't think Central is better than us. If they score 30 on us - so be it. The last 2 times they've played us, their magic number was 21 points. Our offense over the past few years has been C level - gradewise. I don't think Central has the receivers BCU or Hampton has. If he's gonna throw the ball, he has to have receivers that can beat our defenders and catch his throws. I'm just not convinced that's the case.
Our defensive backs are suspect - we all know this. However, Central's WR's ain't all-conference level.
We will be ready for the challenge come November. Every single week, A&T has been ready to play. I don't think the week vs Central will be anything different. We got Howard next. I hope we go up to DC and give them the Obama-inspired a-whipping they need.
