By my count there were 15 potential ladyaggies on the roster as of 3/20/20, this addition would make 16. I wonder what has changed.

Just saying, there appear to be an over abundance of guards on the 20/21 team.

That that whole team has shooters. She looks to be a good pickup. She has good vision and shows the ability to break a press something that A&T lacked last year .

That's a lot. .....and we need every one of them. Outside of our points guards, our team's foot speed last year was suboptimal (and I'm being kind). We need some players who can get out and run. I really wouldn't be upset with 4 guards and a center lineup. I wouldn't be mad if we played with 4 guards and a forward. We gotta get quicker out there....

A&T's point guard play was horrible this season after C.C. went down . The guard position was the problem.

I'm hoping our new guards are quick. The bigs we had last year were slow and plodding. I'd rather have a bunch of 5'10 - 6'0 ladies on the floor that can move than 6'2-6'3 girls who are slow and plodding in nature. That's what I prefer - if you or anyone else has a different preference, that's cool. I need some guards and wings that can move.....

NSS, you correct. To me, that has been the problem with our lady teams. Lack of speed, slow guards and slow bigs who could not make a simple recreation league lay up.

We got another transfer today in Jada Smith, a 6-0 wing from Long Beach State by way of Cary, HS. She was a true freshman this past season. She'll have to sit out next season unless the NCAA votes to approve the one time free transfer rule this summer. From the LBSU Website: Jada Smith | Fr. | F. | 6-0 | Cary, N.C. (Cary HS) Smith begins her collegiate career after having prepped at Cary High School in North Carolina. The power forward is coming off of a season in which she led her team to a 20-9 overall record as they went undefeated at 14-0 in conference action en route to capturing a regular season championship. Her team finished the season as runner up at State Regionals. Smith contributes on all sides of the ball as she averages 8.3 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game, 1.5 assists per game, 1.2 steals per game, and 0.5 blocks per game. An academic all-conference selection and NCHSAA Scholar Athlete, Smith plans to major in sports psychology and kinesiology at Long Beach State. longbeachstate.com/news/2019/5/6/womens-basketball-womens-hoops-signs-four-for-the-2019-20-season.aspx

Jada Smith could be an exceptional player. In looking at her high school highlights, she can finish at the rim with contact and she elevate well on her mid-range jumper. She also played on the same high school team with the Key sisters Tamari and Teonni. Tamari was the starting center for the Tennessee Lady Vols this year and her sister is currently a top five 2020 prospect. Welcome Jada to Aggieland.
