Didn't like the play calling and too many dropped passes.

2 observations form Aggie Stadium: 1) This is the worst officiating crew I've ever seen..... 2) Connel Maynor....I don't want him as our next head coach. He's Donald Trump wreckless. I agree 100%. No more of the annual what if Maynor was our coach threads. Too emotional and hot headed.

If when COACH Broadway decides to leave "AGGIELAND" It better be SAM WASHINGTON! AGGIE PRIDE!

My big take away was, understanding it was a national tv audience and presumably NFL scouts were in attendance but we seemed really focused on feeding Cohen the ball.
Now dont get wrong this kid is special and many would say we have to find different ways of getting him the ball with opportunity for success.
However this ball club clearly has other potent weapons to utilize (i.e. WR, Keyes & Bell & Gardin, TE Hill, and where is RB, Cartwright looks like he loss his spot to Williams). These guys can make plays and potentially make holes and lanes even larger for when cohen touches the ball, when they stretch the field and defense.
Even though it is amazing that WE know whats coming, THEY know whats coming and yet he still avgs 10 yards a pop during the contest. I just tend to believe some of those runs could be a lot easier when we make a valid attempt to get other playmalers involved becuase FYI, those other playmakers will HAVE to make plays next year so they need to become accustommed to doing so now.
Also wonder what the status of Keyes is after getting rolled up on from behind on that sweep.
On to the Legion.

I also think they did not want to open the playbook too much. This is the first of three televised games. Hampton seems talented. but lacked discipline, similar to BCU. They will be able to muscle there way through the rest of their schedule.

Pleasantly surprised by the attendance. The crowd looked small on TV.

That's a good sign for attendance, with the remaining schedule Norfolk, Homecoming, and ScState we may average one of our best years.

We are in good position to make a strong run at the title. To me it seem that we weren't really playing hard until the second half. Then it became clear and apparent that when we are ready to play, we can beat anyone...decisively! Hampton is not a bad team...we made them look mediocre though!

i’m happy with the win, but i would’ve liked to have seen femi get some action last night. i was thinking coach broadway was saving femi for the 2nd half as a surprise for hampton, but no femi all night. i just like that femi is a “dual threat” qb whereas raynard is not much of a running threat. that’s why i was so depressed about kylil’s injury.
in my opinion, a “dual threat” qb opens up our offense big time because now the defense has to worry about 3 things (cohen, passing, qb running) instead of just 2 (cohen and passing)...

I understand where you're coming from. I think we're figuring out that the rotating QB thing doesn't breed the growth that we seek at the QB position, though. While I do think that Femi would have opened up things on Hampton earlier for Tarik, I thought that it was better for Lamar to work through a tough 1st half and play a much better 2nd half in a hard-fought conference game. I believe that with the rust from the bye off us, we'll likely see Femi in the 2nd half of the Norfolk game if we can get out to an early 1st half lead next week.
