Tony McRae signs with Bengals.http://www.bengals.com/?icampaign=nflcom-header-clublogos-CIN wow, here's what i found on mcrae's signing with the bengals. i was surprised that they went into a good deal of detail relative to macramé's signing, so he might have a chance to make the final roster... www.cincyjungle.com/2016/8/9/12415568/bengals-sign-former-north-carolina-a-t-cornerback-tony-mcraeThe Bengals have made another addition to their cornerback unit in the form Tony McRae. The undrafted free agent out of North Carolina A&T is already in a great spot to get plenty of practice reps this week with several corners dealing with injuries.Bengals sign former North Carolina A&T cornerback Tony McRae
By Jason Marcum @marcum89 on Aug 9, 2016, 3:55pIt looks like the Cincinnati Bengals don't feel too confident about the health of their cornerback unit. That would explain the addition of cornerback Tony McRae, who the team announced had been signed on Tuesday. McRae is a rookie free agent who went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft. McRae, a 5'9" 172-pound corner, played four seasons (2012-15) at North Carolina A&T and was a first-team All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference selection as a senior. ESPN had McRae pegged as the 85th-best cornerback prospect entering the 2016 NFL Draft. To be fair, it’s hard to even find enough college film to properly evaluate FCS prospects. We see guys come out of this division to make 53-man rosters and even turn into quality NFL players. In 2014, McRae started all 12 games and made 62 total tackles with 46 of those unassisted. He also made five interceptions and had 16 passes defended. He also returned 14 kickoffs for 360 yards (25.7 per return) and a touchdown, so the return game could be where he makes an impact as well. In 2015, teams threw at McRae far less as he finished with only one interception. He did lead the Aggies with 55 tackles as a senior and also averaged 28.3 yards on kickoff returns. For his career, McRae appeared in 46 games over four years at NC A&T. He totaled 153 tackles (112 solo), nine interceptions and 27 passes defended. Watching his highlights, McRae has a little Adam Jones to his game in that he's solid in coverage while staying in his guy's back pocket, not to mention he's a hard hitter in the run game while also producing some explosive punt and kickoff returns.According to Christian Shanafelt of NFL Draft Bible, the Bengals were present for McRae's Pro Day and even met with him following his workout. He broke into the NFL after the Oakland Raiders signed him as a college free agent following the 2016 draft, but was released on May 16. Since then, McRae has been waiting for another team to sign him. While he needed to wait for almost three months, this is about as ideal of a situation as McRae could ask for. He's already in a great spot to get plenty of practice reps this week with several corners dealing with injuries.
But the injury that this signing may be related to is that of Darqueze Dennard. The third-year corner left last Monday's session due to an ankle sprain, which has held him out every practice since then. Initially, head coach Marvin Lewis said that Dennard should only miss a week of action, but we're now over that mark as it looks like the oft-injured corner won't suit up for Friday's preseason opener vs the Vikings. If that ends up being the case, we may very well see a lot of McRae in his first preseason game.

OSA, WHY YOU ALWAYS GOT TO "RAG" SOMEBODY. THEY MORE THAN LIKELY SAW ALL OF HIS GAMES. EVIDENTLY THEY SAW SOMETHING THEY LIKED.
YOU ACT AS THOUGH YOU WERE ALL THAT IN PING PONG AT A&T. YOU NEVER MADE THE OLYMPICS BECAUSE YOUR BACKHAND WAS BAD. LOL.

Totally irrelevant comment aggieblackie, but let's be real for a second.
Is oleschool lying? I bet McRae would come on here and admit he got his behind handed to him in that game. Why you defending it?

Tony McRae was always one of my favorites players his entire 4 years at A&T(check the old post). I've always thought he could play at the next level the first game I saw him play in. Those torched moments were just blips on the radar and a very bad day that I knew he would shake off. Hope he makes the final roster and actually plays. Rooting for him.

OSA, you sound like Donald Trump. Always back tracking when you are called out.
I remember you making a negative comment about Hunt after he attended CP3's Summer Camp in basketball.
You act as though you are an authority and expert on every subject and you are not.
Blank you back!!!!
And if you were so good at ping pong and marbles how come you never went to the next level.
Quit being so sensitive. I hope you weren't that soft in your athletic career.

Aggieblackie, the topic is McRae signing with Cincy, not your personal feelings about oleschool. If you have a burning need to address oleschool then send a pm. Otherwise stay on topic.
Thanks in advance

i watched cincy play minnesota last night and mcrae didn't get to play very much. he didn't enter the game until the 4th quarter with about 4 or 5 minutes left to play. really wasn't in the game long enough to make a major impact.
but he did make a key play on a bengals punt return that went about 80 yards for a td and could've won the game for the bengals. it may sound trivia, but his key play was that on the punt return team, he was in a position to commit a "block in the back" on the punt return but that broadway coaching kicked in, don't commit unforced errors. so mcrae pulled up and raised his hands above his head to avoid blocking his guy in the back, could've easily been a penalty that would've nullified the punt return for a td. i'm sure coach broadway would look at that play and appreciate what mcrae was taught at a&t.
btw, i'm ignoring the bully...

Dooms why you in our conversation. OSA can speak for himself.
I was on topic and I think OSA did not have to bring up the bad game against Norfolk.
Evidently, he made enough good plays in his career to be noticed.
OSA makes good points at times but I don't like how he tries to bring an Aggie down when he is progressing or trying to better him/herself.
Seems as though he might be jealous for some of his shortcomings.
Ain't trying to be a bully just making my point as OSA and others on this site.
