A&T didn't know The Kid (Cohen) was that good until he hit the field !! Cohen had 0 offers out of high school ! "With no FCS or Div1 offers it was either grades or just not impressing anyone at the combines" Again Cohen stop assuming there is a problem with his grades or other things ! Facts being Some Kids are just over looked and all can not afford to go to a combine. Also it could be the Division in High School and Conference ! Kind of like the NFL when it comes to the MEAC...lol Why are you yelling and I'm confused at what you are trying to say? Nobody is questioning his grades, attitude or thinking there is a red flag. He got a scholarship to play football at a 4 year private institution. That's a great thing. Hopefully he takes advantage of it, gets his degree and goes on to be very successful in life.

Not yelling (Not in Capps ) But from the way your statement read I got the impression that there was a Red Flag My Bad Respect.

That was me that said check his grades and I'm not backing off that statement. Stop thinking every kid is Cohen. He is an exception. There is always exceptions. The fact that this kids has be vouched for by Cohen and went to the same high school as Cohen makes ME think there is something else. That something else might be grades. It's just my opinion. D2 entry restrictions are less than D1s. Thats been the reason for tons of kids prior to this kid. Grades have been the case for way more good athletes going d2 than just a kid being overlooked, like in the case of Cohen. On top of that. Cohen looked waaaaay faster and had better feet on his high school highlight footage than this kid. Whoever put Broadway on to Cohen had a great eye(and patience). Cohen entire tape is good, but start at the 4:00 mark of Cohen's high school tape and its freakin awesome! I didn't get that watching this other kid. They didn't order Cohen's film correctly. His best runs should have been at the beginning. They did the footage by game order(big mistake). Some recruits may have stopped watching before the 4:00 mark. There is no way I watch that ENTIRE tape as a D1 recruiter and not offer Cohen.

I can say it is not the Kids grades it's his size and that comes from talking to other Recruiters in the NC area and he wanted to attend and HBCU but only Mother Shaw came calling !! Did you ask the same ? about The KID (Cohen)Grades being his reason for not being recruited or Did you have any Red Flags at all . No you could not ask that ? of THE KID because no one knew anything about Cohen coming in and he worked out just fine. No one is comparing this kid to Cohen, because for one he has not hit the field yet to make and comparison too.

The title of the thread is "Can Lightning Strike in the Same Place Twice?". thats a direct comparison to Cohen. And no, I did not ask anyone about this kid. I stated that this was my opinion based on experiences with kids with this type of talent that dont get offered by D1. I could ask, but I dont really care since we are not D2 and I don't consider him as good as Cohen in the first place. Even though he broke Cohen's high school records their videos don't compare. No disrespect intended, but Cohen was clearly a better college ready RB in high school than this kid. I'm still baffled at the number of teams that missed it.

Aggie Monster they just over looked The Kid mostly because of the injury his Jr year, A 165 lb. RB coming of a knee injury who had good production but nothing eye popping his Sr year. I can see why so many schools over looked him . But it is has you yourself has said " Some one on A&T's staff had a good eye for talent" I would have offed Cohen based on his Jr season , But a lot of Recuiters and there schools will not take a small back with a history of injury! The same way that they have over looked Cohen (The Kid)is the same reasoning behind them over looking this young . Now is he another Cohen having never played one college down, Who knows I see some things in this kid that I could compare to The Kid but I also see a different type of runner all together. To be truthful A&T should have offered this kid a scholarship ! That is my opinion having been in this game for sometime .
