How's it going at practice? Is there a communication blackout or something going on?

It going pretty well. Guys are flying around. Our defense will be extremely stout, probably the best one we've had since Broadway took over the job back in 2011. Loads of speed in the backfield with a big experienced line. Cohen is in a class by himself. Special Teams will be vastly improved.

Camp breaks today and this is the last of the two a days. Believe its at 4 today then goes to 3:30 pm beginning tomorrow. Remember you're only allowed 20 hours of practice per week during the season by NCAA rules.

I will say this little note. The communication about our August practices have gone down each year that Broadway has been at the helm. The teams gets better each year. So if we are not hearing much coming out of practice then that is a great sign. If this trend is correct I hope I don't hear crap until after Sept 5th.

Our defense will be extremely stout, probably the best one we've had since Broadway took over the job back in 2011. Loads of speed in the backfield with a big experienced line. its our "d-line" that's got me excited about our defense this year. last year we were so very young and a little "light in the butt" for a d-line, yet we held our own nonetheless. but this year, we've got all of those guys back with a ton of experience under their belts along with a full offseason of strength and conditioning to boot. plus, the transfer from rutgers will add plenty of "depth" to that group. i've always felt that success on both sides of the ball begins in the "trenches" and we should be much better in that regard defensively this year...

Hate to put a damper on things, but they had a scrimmage Sat. and the offence look so bad coach call time out, and made the offence run for 20 min. The offence is way behind defense. They had nine fumbles and no TD's. The offence was with out the 5 top receivers including Keys with minor injuries. Quick has a limp and don't seem to be as fast. On Monday Raynord look good, he threw three TD's. Foster has been move to WR and the two Fr. QB"s also moved to WR.

It's normal for a defense to knock the offense around in camp so long as the offense is improving. So, while I'm sure there's room for improvement, it sounds like the offense is right where it should be.
