Let's use this thread to post any updates about the Football team and their summer activities.
My biggest questions surround Raynard, our passing game and the arrival of the UMinn transfer.
Any updates?

The front seven should be outstanding especially along the defensive front with Marcus Ragland, Angelo Keyes, Malik Hampton-Prioleau, D'Anthony Ross, Kenny Melton, James Morris, and Mike Neal are all back up front. That's a boatload of battle tested veterans, experience and athleticism. They will be the real strength of this year's defense.
Ragland and Keyes are legit All-American candidates by anyone's standards. If RS-F Julian McKnight continues to improve as much as he did in the spring, he could be a star for a long, long time and a major force before he leaves A&T.

Man, I'm liking this….a couple of years ago we were wondering about having enough bodies to compete…. Now we have depth at practically every position……great job to our coaches and admins with building depth from the bottom up! Our players have also stepped up to do the work in the classroom…..me thinks we are on the verge of something great!

What about the defensive backs and the rest of the passing defense? Is there much experience returning there? What this secondary will bank on is plenty of speed and physicality. The secondary will have some new faces but a couple of very familiar ones will lead this unit in big way. All-MEAC CB Tony McRae, Landis Shoffner and Marquis Boyan expect to have career defining seasons as the only seniors. Big things are anticipated from sophomores Tard McCoy, Jamaal Darden, Jeremy Taylor, and Timadre Abhram who all played extensive minutes last season after being redshirted in 2013. The big standout playmaker on kick coverage teams was without a doubt R-So. Jerome Beatty - blocking kicks, creating fumbles, headhunting hits and even scoring a touchdown along the way. This year he should certainly break into the lineup to significantly contribute on down and distance situations on a regular basis as a nickel back.

Great info, Aggie One, I'm looking forward to the fall but as Hornsby Howell used to say 'on paper it looks like we're gonna be pretty good but the game is played on the field not on paper'. Again, thanks for the update.

Aggie one, what about the receivers? Who's hot and who's not.
Also, who will be calling signals this year. I heard that a junior college transfer is coming in to play QB. Any truth to this?
What about the kicking game?
Thanks!

I hope that is not true about the QB.
It is a lot going on in that Position. We already getting a freshmen QB coming in. I think we are solid. If anything I think we need to get deeper in the OL. We loss one of two Seniors and I am not sure Best is going to be reliable enough.

Noticed that Kevin Francis has been moved to wr. We have an abundance of talent at wr/te so it's critical that we have a qb who can deliver the ball. I thought his performance was overlooked in the spring game. Dude looked real good!
