Subject dropped. It does not matter who coaches until the administration realize we are suppose to be a Division I basketball program. We have been pretending as a Division I program for over 20 years now. Time for them to support whoever coaches with whatever he needs to make us competitive again. So your saying What ? A&T should allow admission to athletes just because they are outstanding football players or basketball player. If I am not mistaken we have been down that road before, yes we had great teams but we had to pay the price later. What more can the administration do then what they are already doing ? Please tell me

some one needs to pep our own fans up more than the cheerleaders, we have a very dead crowd. crowd noise is virtually unheard of... To much wine and cheese OSA lol.

Saabman, for one thing they should do a better job of selecting "all" coaches. Quit making hasty decisions and make a list of really qualified coaches. Be fair and unbiased in making selections.
Make sure each sport is properly funded and don't hold back in dispersing the money to be effective.
I don't know how true it is but I heard the basketball team does not have a strength coach. Make sure before hiring assistant coaches that they are qualified.
Millions of kids play basketball in America and thousands over seas. We should be able to get 14 or 15 kids with good academic scores that will prevent our APR from dropping. There are plenty of talented kids out there that can come to 'T' without hurting us academically.
It is evident that when so called good athletes were admitted with borderline grades and SAT scores our basketball teams still failed to win championships in the last 20 or so years.
If our administration had been supporting athletics as it should we would have more championships.
Hampton does not have a problem with athletes performing on the field and classrooms.

Also I must agree with you on finding athletes because a lot of schools in the MEAC have academically fluid student athletes, and there is no reason why we should not have the same.

I can't speak to the rest, but they are probably part of an over all program for the athletic program. Which is typical for most universities.
