They also added ECU transfer Cody Keith to the mix last month plus last years two starters are still on the team. He's at a disadvantage because the other qb's have all played in a pass happy offense similar to Charlotte's. If Klugh doesn't have a great spring I suspect he will be asked to change positions. 49ers add ECU QB transfer, Charlotte native, Cody KeithCharlotte's Brad Lambert continues to add options at quarterback. www.wccbcharlotte.com/2016/01/12/49ers-add-ecu-qb-transfer-charlotte-native-cody-keith/dang!! klugh is "toast" as far as playing qb! wholly cow...

" What was his reason for leaving anyway?" Playing time or lack of it!! It's time to compete Klugh . Good Luck i don’t think it was playing time, saabman. he got plenty of playing time for a “true freshman”. he played most of the game against howard, started against scsu, dsu, and hampton before quick returned against famu. i have no idea what his reasons were, but i don’t think it was playing time. i have my own personal ideas why he transferred, but its just my own speculation...

Wonder if Klugh is having second thoughts. They also have 2 other qb's he has to compete with. Charlotte 49ers sign former Miami QB Kevin OlsenBrad Lambert announced the signing of former four-star quarterback Kevin Olsen on Thursday afternoonCharlotte 49ers head coach Brad Lambert made the biggest offseason splash of his tenure, landing junior college quarterback Kevin Olsen on Wednesday evening. Olsen will enroll at UNC Charlotte in January for the spring semester and will have two years of eligibility remaining. “Just like every position on the team, we want to create some competition at our quarterback position,” said Lambert. “We want to get guys in here and let them compete. We’re going to see who the best guy is coming out of spring ball and heading into the summer.” Olsen, a 6-foot-3 pro-style quarterback, played his high school ball at Wayne Hills in New Jersey. He compiled nearly 3,500 passing yards while tossing 40 touchdown passes and garnering serious attention from some of the most prestigious programs around the country. ninertimes.com/2015/12/charlotte-49ers-sign-former-miami-qb-kevin-olsen/I saw your post on MFZ. IMO, Klugh was not going to be a serious QB candidate in Charlotte. He didn't have the fundamental background to make that kind of leap. And the Olsen kid is the younger brother of Greg Olsen, the All-Pro TE for the Carolina Panthers, and a favorite player of owner Jerry Richardson, who was a former NFL TE himself. I'll be pleasantly surprised if Hassan Klugh ever plays a down at QB for Charlotte. *******Not being picky but Jerry Richardson was a WR for the Baltimore Colts. Richardson was not supa fast or quick but ran great routes and caught everything that touched his hands!!!!!!.

Jerry Richardson was a flanker for the Colts in the late 50s. He only played a couple of years (2 or 3) at the most. He caught passes from Unitas. I know he went into business early, establishing Hardees as well as other food entities.

What was his reason for leaving anyway? It was reported he left because he felt pressure of walking in his brother's footsteps... I wish him the best of luck....
