Cohen has so much heart, will and determination which may all mean the same said separately but describes him along with athleticism and talent. If he gets the chance he will let it all hang out and do his part to make the decision makers scratch their heads. I think that if he can rack up a couple thousand yards a year for the next 2years he could stand an outside chance of being drafted.

This young man can do it. He has elected to compete at the highest level possible and is showing he is serious about putting in work. He is an example of the type of athletes we need in our program. I support this young man and his ambition 100%. It has happened before.

Maurice Jones-Drew weighs 210 pounds but he's only 5 feet 7 inches and he's done well in the NFL. A couple more years and a few more pounds and Tarik Cohen may get a good chance to play in the NFL. I think he can do it, at least, I'm hoping he will.

Understood... but then you have Dri Archer and De'Anthony Thomas from last year.... Archer Draft ProfileThomas Draft ProfileArcher was a 3rd round pick for the Steelers... Thomas, a 4th round pick by Kansas City.... Even Trindon Holliday got drafted at 5'5", 160 lbs as a return man in the 6th round by Houston back in 2010. www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/trindon-holliday?id=497218All of these guys are track sprinters. The only difference between these guys and Tarik is that they started at FBS schools. Not too many players are doing this at any level of football in their freshman/sophomore years: Cohen StatsIf Tarik can stay healthy and keep improving... he's got a good chance of getting drafted... IMO...

Does Tarik have a similar build to someone in the NFL. I think he compares to A Danny Woodhead.

Hey let Tarik just stay healthy and keep on the path he's been on his first two years and he'll be okay. He may not get drafted but if he continues to perform at the level he's on now, he will get some NFL looks. Good luck young man and I hope you run up 200 yards this year on those buzzards!

I grabbed the respective posts from His page. My intent is to motivate BDV and the Aggie Nation. This young Man is humble when you talk to Him. He was getting keyed on all last year. I can't wait! http://instagram.com/p/2WxJmvS1hB

Trindon Holliday is the only draftee that compares buildwise. The others are bigger and heavier. Danny Woodhead has three inches and 30 pounds on him and wasn't drafted. I thought of Holliday when I said Cohen would have to add returns to his game.
He's not an NFL every-down running back and even with pounds of steroids he wouldn't be. He just doesn't have the build. But he's phenomenal and a top-level talent in space. In Canada and in the Arena League he'd set some serious records, but in the not for long? He wouldn't get the touches. I doubt he even gets a combine invite, and I'm a fan!
That being typed, I'm betting there will be scouts taking a peek his senior year. But I think they'll be taking a look to see whether he's worth a free agent contract. And I'm betting he'll get one, and will have a chance to stick with a team in some capacity.
We'll see...

The kid is not flying under the radar. Tarik has been getting looks since freshman year. Be for I go on let me say this ( do not confuse size with height ) because they are to different item's. Jones Drew is 210 pounds D. Sproles 190lbs although they are both 5 feet 8 inches tall. Barry Sanders 5'8" tall At 205lbs. Now the player I would compare The kid to would be D. Jackson or Wes Welker and T. holliday. But that all were outstanding kick and putt returners something Tarik has not been active in yet. You will find that most of your smaller NFL players on both side's of the ball had one are two thing's in common " They were active in the return game. I cannot see Cohen being drafted as a running back or even being offered a free agent contract as a running back but I can see him as a unrestricted free agent if he becomes more active in the passing game and return game. Also comparing him 2 players that play in your major FBS conferences is unfair because of the level of competition and quality of play. Also if Cohen continues to show improvement in his speed, pass catching and returning skills (if he gets to do that ) he could get a invite to the combine his senior year. hopefully he will be able to participate in a star game . Being real I can honestly see Cohen as a DB and not playing offense at all if he makes it to the Show.

He will get looks.
NFL heights are so padded.. I live in the Dallas area a couple years ago I was in Fedex Kinko's shipping a box Tony Dorsset was behind me doing the same thing. I am 5'8 165. Tony Dorsett might be a inch taller than me and thats a big might. He was listed at 5'11......

I agree with you with all but Danny Woodhead. That man is not 5'8", 200 LBS. LOL! He's more like 5'6", 180 LBS dripping wet.

I was just going by the listed bio. If you have info to the contrary...
As far as Dorsett, he probably shrunk. My pop was 5'11" in his prime. He's probably 5'8" and a half now.
NFL teams usually don't fudge. It's high school and some colleges that usually do the fudging.
