I just learned from a source close to the football program that defensive line coach Damon Frenchers was handed his pink slip by Fobbs today. Not sure what the official reason behind this firing was, but we'll try to have more information in the upcoming days.
For those scoring at home, Frenchers makes the second coach to get terminated since the end of last season and the sixth overall staff addition/deletion.

Looks like Fobbs realizes this is a make or break season for him and has decided to align himself with "his guys", a la Bill Parcells.

"His guys" appear to be the guys that are getting tossed. He's more like Sllecrap Llib.

Wow...was this a personality conflict or just the result of budgetary constraints?

Could Odom just have wanted to bring in his own DL coach, or someone familiar with his scheme?

After 0-22, change is good. As long as Doug Williams isn’t recommending the new coaches, I’m alright. Fobbs should let Odom pick the next Dline coach to help avoid any future conflict.

NO. Odom & Frencher have coached together before. Hint: Frencher also applied for the DC job.

I think Odoms played for frenchers at NCCU. If one of your former players see that its time for change then it is Definitely Time. I think those guys have realized what some of us have been saying for a while. Frenchers was the weakest link. I've talked to the guy before and it sounds like he is knowledgable, but not very energetic. I watch practice and all he does was yell. He never once got in the drill to demonstrate. We don't have Dwight Freeny so I think he has to show them what he wants and its obvious that he cant. If thats the case then its time to go.
O-Line - Ray can still demonstrate
RB - Rags can still demonstrate
WR - Vincent can still demonstrate
QB - Mckenzie can still demonstrate even though he might need some Bengay afterwards.
DB - Oliver can still demonstrate
LB - Odom can still demonstrate
DL - Frenchers well I SAID ATTACK AND GET UP FIELD you dumb @@@
KUDOS to Fobbs for dropping the dead weight and I mean literally!!!!

Both Coaches Odom and Frenchers coach D line so, I think that Odom maybe wants to hire his own position coaches. Also Frenchers was familiar with the 3-5-3 scheme that we had and maybe Odom is changing the scheme.

I pray he is changing the scheme. I hope Frenchers lands on his feet.
