IMHO, it's down to us and Idaho State for the last spot.

Stop me, it's down to us and Idaho State for the last spot. Where are you seeing that? The bracket should be done by now.

Stop me, it's down to us and Idaho State for the last spot. Where are you seeing that? I am just analyzing resumes of some bubble teams with 8 or more wins. William & Mary and Indiana State are at 5 loses and are thus eliminated. The 3 teams remaining out are us, SF Austin and Idaho State. It's not a slam dunk when looking at those teams but playing Coastal Carolina, and Elon helps in addition to 5 conference teams finishing over .500. The other two have schedules padded by two div two teams or div one transition teams.

Our strength of schedule is just not very good. The one "quality" win we have is against Morgan St..... that's it. I want us to be there.... I just don't think we are at the present state. Next year, having SCSU, Bethune, Coastal, UNC-CH, Morgan St. and NCCU on schedule.... if each of those teams can knock off a mid-range or better FCS squad... now we're getting somewhere.

Idaho State played two Division 2 schools. They have just 6 Division 1 wins. SF Austin lost to an FCS transitioning team and only has 7 Division one wins. Indiana State lost 5 games and only has 6-7 division one wins. The same with William & Mary. There is parity in our ranks and it could benefit us. Hopefully Earl was able to convince his peers to vote us in.

IMHO, it's down to us and Idaho State for the last spot. I hope that you are right. IMHO, I no longer see us in the playoff equation, but I think that BCU will get strong consideration. I posted this on MFZ a few minutes ago: The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats finished ranked 22nd in the season-ending FCS poll by The Sports Network, which was released overnight. Things to consider: - The Wildcats have been ranked in TSN's Top 25 all season long;
- BCU has a win over an FBS team...for the second season in a row;
- The 'Cats are the defending champs from last season and are co-champions this season;
Will this be enough to get them an at-large berth into the 24-team FCS Playoffs? From The Sports Network: www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/news/news.aspx?id=780896

Only one MEAC team made it ------ Morgan State. I cannot lie, the selection committee did the right thing. We only deserved one bid. That should've been our asses playing Richmond next week, but it is what it is.......

Well My gut was wrong. When I saw Indiana State get in, I knew the bubble had burst. Great season though!

Well My gut was wrong. When I saw Indiana State get in, I knew the bubble had burst. Great season though! Me, too. They put a 5-loss Indiana State team in over both us and BCU (even though one more bracket has to be unveiled, but I'm sure that we're not in it).

There is no doubt that we would have been sent to Richmond, too, had we won.
The committee chairman just stated that strength of schedule and a loss to Hampton on national TV is what killed Bethune-Cookman. Evidently, BCU was the last-team-out.
