I had to put this question out there because it seems as if Fobbs has done everything that everyone bitched about(including myself) after the season was over.
1)He gave up his OC duties and hired one - We all bitched that he shouldn't be OC and HC without any OC experience. he wasn't even really the OC anyway.
2)He fired who we all thought was the worse coach on the staff besides himself - hamwalker or whoever can say what they want, but the responsibilities that had his name on them were not up to par.
3)He beefed up the O and D-lines - I like the recruiting strategy here. We were in need of linemen to keep Ferg healthy and they went and got them. Not all Juco either!
4)In-state recruiting ties - I love this one. 22 quality in-state recruits! We(mostly me) bitched about the fact we have very good talent in NC and just have to gas up the tank and hit the road. I think BDV played a major role here. Good job with the fundraiser fellas!
So with all that, until we start taking unnecessary L's, are you happy with Fobbs right now? I am, because firing him after last season would not have produced this type of off-season. He has the vets, he has the new blood, he has his OC, so lets get some W's.
Keep in mind this doesn't effect me calling for his head if he doesn't at least go 2-2 early on.

I asking about right now. Are you satisfied with his offseason moves? I'm not really looking for a bunch of "Well lets wait and see" type answers. Thats a given as far as reality goes.

AM, l I have to agree with you. I've been a big critic as well but I like the moves I've seen thus far. I'm still hoping we can sign a few I-A transfers that may be able to come in and plug a few holes on the offensive and defensive lines.

I must say, I like the moves that Fobbs has made this offseason. With the new OC and his offense coming in, I'm excited about Aggie Football this year.

1) Until I see it in writing, and he is still collecting 175k Large, I am only goiing to believe that he is the OC and getting paid for it.
2) WIlson's name was on special teams, true. And although someone definitley had to get axed, I dont think its fair to the current players and incoming recruits w/ regards to timing.
3) Beefed up Oline /DLIne - Time will tell .. Glad we got some guys in..
4)Instate recruiting -this is what we've been harping on for the last 3 years this cats been recruiting. Im glad he finally took the hint from some real experts..
I'm calling for his head now...No need to wait till he loses in September.. -With all this said and done ..Fobbs can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag

You're slipping Jaffe. It took you almost 40 minutes to come in and pull the plug on this feel-good thread.
The old King Joffa would have pounced on this bad boy much sooner.

I am pleased. I dont think even he can mess this up. A battle tested team, 28-29 recruits, a new OC. a coaching change. Heck now he's just like Bobby Bowden, just put on a straw hat and watch the show.

I'd be real happy if he hired Mo to replace Dwike. That would show me he is 100 percent serious about turning this thing around.

I'm actually OK with it. AM, you are right he addressed much of last year's bitching and moaning. Hey, this B&M thing might get some traction every year. Keep it up! ;D

I am very happy with the recruiting for 2008. Fobbs has gone out and nabbed OL & DL support as well as some speed on the outside. I think better days are ahead and true Aggies to my knowledge regardless of who is at the helm are not fair weather "AGGIES FANS". So, stand the test of time and watch the future AGGIES turn this ship around.

I like that though, come in with a positive attitude and turn this thing around. Oh, and next time try not to give your self away so easy. Maybe our new QB coach can teach you how to hide the ball on the playaction, LOL.

There's 3 Major things Wrong W/ this Country that i want to see addressed by the candidates (ill even vote for McCain if he can do something with #3): 1. The Economy 2. Universal Healthcare 3. How in the Hell Fobbs is still around
