This is great! I am glad we are now focusing on developing and promoting our own brand (image) and not "hoping" that our message gets out. We have professionals on staff now that understand the importance of branding and they are working hard to get ours "right!".
By the way...if you think about it A&T alumns have always had the reputation as " take charge " type of people. While others sit around and b*tch and moan about stuff we take actions...Aggies do...others talk!
It fits perfect!

OSA, some people are already calling it "Aggies DoDo"!! "Aggies Do" is going to have to grow on me. I can't believe they paid some firm to come up with this. Why did they not just ask the students and alums. We would have done it for free.

Why did they not just ask the students and alums. We would have done it for free. The tag line is just one part of the project. Many alumni, students, staff and community members participated in market research and other studies about the perceptions of the A&T brand. In the big picture some people can liken the use of "Aggie Pride" or "Pirate Pride", etc...to supporting the LGBT community as PRIDE is a term that is linked to that community. Anything that comes up will have the ability to have another meaning or usage. But anyone who is just that childish to say publicly "Aggies Do Do" just don't understand that we're not about competing with the small fish but aiming to reach higher goals. They can instead eat the dodo of an Aggie if that's what they are concerned about.

You know that some of our rivals are always looking for something to make fun at us about. Whether they know that "Aggies Do" has a positive meaning or not they will still choose to make fun of and denigrate it. At least we have a Brand, and I hope it provides the results that it was intended to.

"aggies strong" or "aggies give", what's wrong with a slogan similar to that? i really think we could've done better than "aggies do". of all the verbs in the world, we had to pick "do"...

Using do is more versatile.... Aggies Do: Justice Aggies Do: Graduation Aggies Do: Research Aggies Do: Diversity Just some things that may likely come from later in the brand implementation. I'm looking forward to a briefing for alumni groups on how to use the new brand materials. Because "Aggies Strong: Justice" or "Aggies give Graduation." doesn't make a lot of sense.

Doesn't move me one way or the other. Just preparing for the jokes when we lose a game.

Hey I can remember the chants "Aggie Pride Died" from our opponent's fans when we lost a game. We didn't stop saying it then. No matter what we pick someone will try to turning it into a negative.
Let's wait to see the whole "branding" campaign before we start judging it. I bet the first time Nike rolled out "Just do it" some folks thought it was dumb too.

Im wondering in all of this spending, discussing and researching if we did any sort of evaluation of the slogan "Aggie Pride" and how it resonates?
I remember when they incorporated the acronym for Aggie Pride which was very creative. I wonder where that went?

I remember when they incorporated the acronym for Aggie Pride which was very creative. I wonder where that went? In a few of the surveys that was assessed. I definitely know in the Alumni Attitudes Survey we did in October/November 2013 for the alumni association that was something we were looking for.
