I wonder if field turf is Broadway's top priority. it might be relative to his practice field. i've heard him complain about the poor conditions of the practice field late in the season after it has taken a pretty good beating. with field turf in aggie stadium, he could practice in the stadium without worrying about tearing up his practice field... Exactly, When you have field turf you don't really need a huge practice field. Large amounts of rain earlier that day or the day before dont hurt practice at all. What coach wouldn't want it? The injury anxiety that used to come with having artificial turf is long gone.

We probably are in the minority on this money grab, but let's not make this into any more than that. This is not a competitive matchup of equals no matter how you slice it. Though the final score may be more respectable than the 80 they dropped on ODU, but it won't be because they can't or out of respect, but because of pity, and that's when you know . . . I am inclined to agree...

I'd like to see us get to a point where our out of conference schedule looks like UNC, NC State and WSSU. All would big payday games....that is if WSSU remains relevant without Maynor. Yeah, I would like to see a major DI school that our fans could travel to, a strong HBCU outside of the conference in a classic (TSU or decent SWAC team), regional PWC on our level, or possibly WSSU. Is the payout comparable to other payouts schools receive?

Is scheduling FBS schools AND Division II schools annually for football the way to go? I wanted to share this quote from Buddy Pough, head football coach at SC State that was published in the online version of The Times & Democrat, Orangeburg, SC's newspaper. He was talking post-game about the Palmetto Capital City Classic - a game in which SC State won 63 - 0 versus SIAC Div. II Benedict College. Please note: this game was played on Benedict's 10,000-seat campus stadium and not at Univ. of South Carolina's Williams-Brice Stadium as in years past. I'm very curious to know what this forum thinks about this quote as it relates to A&T playing UNC next year AND keeping dormant/reviving the game vs. WSSU. “The Benedicts of the world, that’s not who we compete against. I hate to say it, but this really doesn’t mean very much except for the fact that we got a chance to work out among ourselves.”

At this point, the out of conference schedule is gear towards making $$$...if you stand a chance to make money going either route then it becomes worth it. As far as the game is concerned, you get a chance to work you team out or on the flip-side your team gets worked out.

After our loss to SCSU im quite concerned about our depth. The loss highlighted our youth and lack of depth at key positions. I prey that we come out of this game without injuries. Again we will face a team with superior depth and seasoned vets.

Okay. So, we travel to Elon again in 2015 and to Chapel Hill also. Who will be our third & final out-of-conference foe in 2015? It will certainly be a home game.
