And BTW, RGIII is not going to help a suspect defense! oh, but groove! did you check out our offseason pickups? we signed about 10 new defensive players including all pro defensive end jason hatcher (albeit he's a former cowboy and grambling alum). our former coaching staff stunk the place up last season, shanahan really screwed up the locker room. but all of that has been fixed now and we've got fresh new blood in jay gruden as our head coach. i'm expecting my skins to pull a "kansas city chiefs" this upcoming season. from worst to first! hopefully...

The Seahawks Monday signed DE Cassius Marsh, their third-round draft choice, and added two players from the weekend’s rookie camp — OG Nate Isles (6-5, 348) of North Carolina A&T and TE Rashaun Allen (6-4, 250) from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.

The Skins need to find an offenisve line before they do anything else. Hope both the kids make it to be in the fight for a roster spot come the end of preseason.

i dunno, a1. last year our redskins offense wasn’t our biggest problem though it could’ve been a lot better. our offense was about average. but our “special teams” was an embarrassment (had to be the worst in the entire nfl) and our defense wasn’t too far behind. most of our offseason moves have been to shore up our special teams and our defense.
we drafted an offensive tackle and an offensive guard both in the 3rd round, plus we signed free agent guard mike mcglynn who is expected to start. i’m not too worried about our offense. its our special teams and defense that’s got me concerned...

The key to the Redskins is whether they are willing to let RG III play on the perimeter out in space OR make him play from the pocket. If they choose the latter, I don't see that much of a difference. Sure they have D. Jackson and Garcon but, RGIII has not shown an ability to stay put in a pocket and read a defense. So, if that's the direction of this coaching staff, I challenges lying ahead. On the flip side, if they let him run bootlegs and spread option, then lookout...but, as we all know, it's a high risk, high reward type of scheme.

THE REDSKINS HAVE MORE WEAPONS THIS YEAR. THE SHANAHANS WERE HORRIBLE AND THEY HAD ZERO COMMUNICATION SKILLS ESPECIALY WITH THE BROTHERS!

www.csnbaltimore.com/blog/ravens-talk/cb-olatoye-hopes-team-cb-smith-againCB Olatoye hopes to team with CB Smith again Ravens free agent cornerback Deji Olatoye has a habit of following Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith. At the University of Colorado, Smith was like a big brother to Olatoye. Now that Olatoye is trying to make the Ravens, Smith is giving his 'little brother’ advice. “Jimmy has taken me through the plays, and I feel like I have a little advantage on everybody, knowing that he knows his way through this system,” said Olatoye after Saturday’s minicamp practice. “They only have four corners on the roster so far. I’m just trying to get in where I fit in. I think I’ve had a solid rookie camp. There’s always room for improvement, but I’m just trying to make the 53-man roster.” Olatoye was one of four free agent cornerbacks invited to last weekend’s camp, along with Tramain Jacobs, Avery Patterson, and Sammy Seamster. Anyone who stands out will probably make it to training camp. The Ravens did not draft a cornerback and lost cornerback Corey Graham to the Bills during free agency. “When you have a need at a position, and you don’t draft a guy, the interest from the undrafted free agents is pretty high,” said Ravens coach John Harbaugh. “All of them have good ball skills, so I think our scouts did a really good job of finding those guys.” Olatoye transferred from Colorado to North Carolina A & T, where he finished his college career. At 6-foot-1 with long arms, Olatoye has the size and wingspan that most teams look for in cornerbacks these days. Once the draft ended and his name wasn’t called, Olatoye said the Seahawks and Ravens both invited him to rookie camp. “I just thought this was a better fit,” Olatoye said. Olatoye has been to a Ravens game before, as a guest of Smith. But next season, Olatoye hopes he won’t need a ticket.
