As a father, I can never get used to hearing stories like these, my heart hurts for his family.

I feel sorry for football players because no will will fight them straight up. They will get about 3 guys to jump them or use a gun. My heart goes out to the family.
Did someone ever capture the guys that shot the football player at SCSU?

Stories like this stun me. As tough as it is to raise a young African American in our society to excel enough to get accepted in college and to have some knucklehead kill them over nothing, is such a waste. As a father of two sons I cannot imagine the pain his parents are feeling now. Now on to another ongoing serious issue...how do we protect our students that live off campus. Regardless to where he was or what he was doing when he was killed, A&T will be blamed. And if it impactA&T negatively we have got to work on how to fix this issue. I know in this stupid violent country that will be tough but we have to at least address it. this really hurts my heart and i would agree that the perception in the public eye may not be a positive one of a&t because of this incident. but a&t nor any other university can fix this problem. we can't follow kids around 24/7, a&t cannot control students off campus. this is more of a cultural problem amongst our entire community rather than a university problem. these incidents happen all over the country and not just at hbcu's. i don't know what else a&t can do to prevent these kind of incidents from happening. to me, the solution to this problem begins in every household in our communities. we have to do a better job of raising all of our kids the right way. let's just hope that president obama's initiative to rescue young black men will significantly diminish this problem, if not eradicate it all together...
