Hey I hopped over here hoping somebody had some A&T football news. I hate this time of year...unless you are into track and field or softball, ain't nothing happening on A&T's campus. (Sorry but I'm not into those two sports) Heck even the Blue and Gold Marching Machine is shut down now. Does anyone have any A&T football news?

Unfortunately we are in that annual month and half of the summer period of "the Twilight Zone." Kids going home for a month or so before everyone reports back for second semester of summer school and possible tranfers being cleared. Considering the events of the last three weeks, everyone connected with the team needs a break right now and so they can get their heads clear.

I usually try to stay out of family dispute but his father asked me my opinion and I informed him that if my son wanted to just run track and forgo football I would tell him to take a track scholarship. I would like to know your opinion. because the man did ask and I gave her my opinion.

Donald Driver Green Bay Wr from Alcorn State was a 7-0 high jumper. This athlete has serious track skills, however you do not indicate his size or speed in the 100 meters or 40yds or position in fb. I am 5'8 3/4 148lbs so it would be a no brainier for me.

But he loves track and lives for you. not only can he tell you the name of every great jumper but he focuses on being a complete track and field athletes. If his father had not asked me my opinion I would not have been forgiven. I just had to ask his father is this football thing for you or for your child. he stated it's all about Charles. I said then let him make his own choice. the deep down inside of me I am hoping that he takes the track scholarship.

Hey, where's the 2016 football schedule? We know we have two confirmed FBS games and I'm sure our MEAC games should be set. So what's the delay?
Even if it's a partial schedule, football fans want to start making plans. Remember, a ton of our fans have already made reservations for this year's Homecoming. We need to start today promoting the 2016 schedule

So most of the time, we just wait until official schedules are released

We need to start today promoting the 2016 schedule The MEAC Office should (and I emphasize the word should) be releasing the schedules to the individual ADs around the end of this month, if not sooner. The schools will be free to release their schedules after that.

In marketing our football team this coming year it is very important to take advantage of our most recent success as a team and individually. We should come outta the gate promoting us as national black champs and also for having "Mr. Excitement", Tarik Cohen. Give him a similar nickname and underline his many accomplishments. Promote him for the Walter Payton Award for the best FCS player in 2016. It will be good publicity for him and the team itself. Other colleges do it, why not us?
