It's still kind of insulting to continue this charade that Drake beat out Mike for the starting job.

It makes a little sense now as to why Drake seemed to beat out Mayhew. Although Mike is a great RB, he tends to dance a lot instead of going north to south, which imo Drake does very well. Overall, just as Broadway stated, once Mike hits the hole and goes more down field, the offense should flow a lot better.

Will Saturday's 4 p.m. A&T/BCU game have an internet video feed? I didn't see anything to that effect on either institution's website.

The offense will flow a lot better if you give Mayhew his 15-20 touches every game. That is why the running game has not be in sync this year.
That was BS what Broadway said because the opportunities have not been there for Mayhew.
For people that don't really know what is going on......Mayhew was being punished/disciplined by the coaching staff and that is why he was not getting touches. There is nothing wrong with Mayhew's running style. That is ridiculous! The man is the all-time rushing leader. He certainly did not get that by fumbling and bumbling and dancing.

Aggie2, Broadway has chosen not to play Mayhew go what ever reason. It's his call as he sees fit to build a better team; that's why we pay him the big bucks. He knows how to build championship teams; I support his decision 100%.

Man let it go. Mayhew is back and the touches he get's he has to make the best of them. If he goes to the show you think he is going to 15 are 20 touches to make his point? H---ll NO. So he has to make the best of his touches. Mayhew has to learn to start hot. why get beat up on 15 are 20 carries when you can get it done on 5 are 10. I don't know if any of you ever played Running back at the college level but 15 are 20 carries takes a takes a toll on a back even with a great line...lol So just let it go Gents.

Point in fact, it's not just about Mayhew, my brother, OUR team is better with Mayhew running the rock 15-20 times. It's fairly obvious to me that when he gets that many touches we are a better team. Seems like he has been producing pretty dayum good for the TEAM when he gets going. I really can't see why we are having this discussion because we should use common sense. It is useless to have your school's career rushing leader and limit him to "5 or 10 carries", as you implied. Chris Carter told me to say to you: "Come On Man"!!!!! lol

Stevie Wonder could see that Mayhew give us the best chance to win. He still may be on a short leash though....

mayhew, "by far", is our best option at rb. i mean, c'mon. dude is our "all time" leading rusher in history, the reigning "2011 meac offensive player of the year", and also the "preseason 2012 meac offensive player of the year". i mean, what else does mayhew have to prove?
mayhew is what i call a very "shifty" running back. he has extremely good "lateral movement" and can seemingly stop and cut on a dime without breaking stride. he has good speed but not great speed, and he will put his head and shoulders down when he has to.
as i've stated previously, i support whatever the coaches decide. but as far as mayhew goes, clearly he's our very best option at running back and 2nd place ain't even close. mayhew is a very "deceiving" running back because he makes what he does look easy, but it ain't. if it was easy, there would be more meac running backs dropping "back-to-back" 1,000 yard plus rushing seasons on the league...

Again, I have to keep emphasizing the vision factor that Mayhew has...

i'll tell ya one thing, though. broadway had better give bcu a heavy dose of mike mayhew this weekend. cuz clearly we don't have a wallace miles like "go to" receiver this year...

I agree with OSA. We need to establish Mayhew & control the tempo of the game. Additionally, we must limit the penalties & get Ricky Lewis and freshman Darren Bullock more involved in the offense.
