I think it is lazy scheduling on the part of the MEAC. There is not reason why you have to keep a team off the schedule for two consecutive years. I would rather have two teams rotating off the schedule ever 2 years (like the Big 10 used to do) and keep an 8 game schedule than pull a SWAC move and take away an OOC game.

I heard that with the new scheduling we will have a hard time finding a date for homecoming next season. I heard that the only home game we have in October is the same weekend as the High Point Furniture Market. It would be almost impossible to book hotel rooms for homecoming if it was held on the same weekend as Furniture Market. From what I understand, the MEAC office changed our schedule from what it was initially. Has anyone else heard this? I am not sure. However, the email I received from Mr. Hilton on Monday listed this as the 2013 conference schedule: 9/28/13 - Howard @ home 10/5/13 - at SC State 10/12/13 - at Hampton 10/19/13 - Delaware State @ home 10/26/13 - at FAMU 11/9/13 - Morgan State @ home 11/16/13 - Savannah State @ home 11/23/13 - NC Central @ home We know Elon will be at home but the date has not been confirmed. Mr. Hilton also stated that we will likely have 12 games - 6 each at home & away. The 2013 homecoming date has not been confirmed according to him. And yes, the High Point Fall Furniture Market is October 19 - 24, 2013. To me, unless the schedule is rearranged, it does not appear that homecoming will be in October next year. The SCSU game has been moved up to earlier in the season and SSU seems to be taking the spot where we have SCSU now....... Other than that cool.....I'm thinking Homecoming might fall late on 11/9 UNLESS they put it at end of Sept.....

I would rather have HC in that first week of November rather than the last weekend of September.

there appears to be a lot of "funky stuff" going on with the meac schedule. i'm pretty certain they're trying to follow the scheduling model of another 11 team conference. but 2 year rotations makes sense because of the "home-n-home" factor.
but here's the funny thing to me. if that 2013 schedule is accurate, it has both morgan and howard coming to greensboro "2 years in a row". i mean, what's up with dat? does that mean we'll be traveling to baltimore and howard 2 consecutive years in a row starting in 2014?
i really would like to know what scheduling model the meac is using. i wonder if other 11 team conferences do the same thing...

The tenative 2013 Aggie football schedule from an earlier post today from aggieclt: 9/28/13 - Howard @ home 10/5/13 - at SC State 10/12/13 - at Hampton 10/19/13 - Delaware State @ home 10/26/13 - at FAMU 11/9/13 - Morgan State @ home 11/16/13 - Savannah State @ home 11/23/13 - NCCU @ home If this is the tenative 2013 football schedule from Mr. Hilton (A.D), i hope the home games in september will remain at 6:00, but for october and november , i hope these games start a little later from 1:30pm to 3:00pm (except Homecoming). Mr. Hilton emailed (in reply) me about all those 1:30pm game starts in 2012. Hiltion's reason was so the visiting team would not have to leave so late to return to their campus..... but, Famu ,Bethune Cookman, SSU schedules their games after 3:00pm or later, and that makes the Aggies leave from their campus late to return to greensboro. I hope the Aggies 2013 home football schedule start time after the month of september will start at 3:00pm for fans that have to work a half a day, and the visiting teams won't leave extra late. Fans have questioned the early 1:30pm starts before, and i hope the athletic department can tweet these time just a little............. Aggie Pride!!!

man, the way things are looking so far, i wish we could swap bcu and nsu for hampton and ssu, a year early instead of next year. hampton looks like they're gonna have a down year this year and no need to explain why i'd want to play ssu...

Remember, we played Howard in DC in 2010 & 2011. I mistyped on Morgan State for 2013. That game is away next year. My bad.
