$25 is too damn much for any A&T football game outside of homecoming and Central/WSSU.
In your opinion, what would be a good price point?

I think $25 is just right to me. That's a sure fire way to raise revenue for the department and we need the cash. Children and student tickets should be in the $5-$10 range, however.
Now we may need to invest in the improvement of the gameday experience but to reduce pricing for gen. Adm. would be counter productive for us.

Give deals and discounts for kids and organizations, but never reduce.

I have to agree with you on that......IF those prices were not reduced during these last few years then NOW would be VERY counter productive to do so. NOW with games like WVSU & VUL they could be evaluated on a game by game basis and if it is determined to be in the best interest to reduce then I'd be all for it. However to reduce across the board wouldn't be a good idea IMO.......

Another thing that may be considered would be charge A&T students a modest ticket fee ($5 - $10) during certain games at least.
I would look at it like this; if our student org's are charging $5 for a Gym Jam and the students are paying for it, Athletics jumping on that bandwagon wouldn't be a bad idea. It may anger some student groups but it's a dog eat dog world in Div-1 Athletics.

State and VUL games was something like a package deal for $25 - $35 each gen. admission ticket. We could also sell discounted tickets to Faculty & Staff, including Homecoming/NCCU/WSSU and even start charging A&T Students to attend Homecoming/NCCU/WSSU $5 - $10 or charge them $5 - $10 to sit in the student section by the band.

I've asked some of the Elon fans at work, what keeps them from making the short trip to A&T, and their first answer was that, they only pay $12 for Gen. Admission ($48 bucks for a family of 4 versus $100 at A&T). I think that we should lower GA prices, and work on making money by volume.

I would counter that you never should set you base price at a level that is unrealistic for the current economic climate.
The reason the scoreboard panels remained empty all those years is because we created the wrong initial price point and then we were too stubborn to lower it.

From my understanding, Their home game experience isn't as exciting as ours. We also have a culture and the band we are selling as well.

How much would you be willing to pay just to see the Machine perform a halftime show,4 songs in the stand and P funk on the track each Saturday if there was not a football game involved?
I love our stadium atmosphere but I don't know if I or many other fans would pay money each week just to see the Machine by itself.

You can tell that people are there just for the band and the atmosphere because they are the ones that typically leave sometime after halftime. Without the band, I can see the ticket prices being dropped by $10 for Gen. Admission.

You could buy a Justin Bieber T-shirt for 25.00 and you can buy an Edward Cullen t-shirt for 25.00 You could buy a sticker book and some stickers, lunch, 2 CD's makeup, a game etc. The AGGIE EXPERIENCE is worth more than that. It's a poor frog that won's support it's own lillypad.
