This is where we find out how good Joe Pizzo is as an offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach.
If he can somehow get Quick to settle down in his first career college game and managed the A&T offense just enough to pull out an upset, Pizzo will start earning guru status in my book.
For an upset to happen, we've got to win the battle of field position and avoid being in third downs and long. Also, Mayhew needs to deliver a performance worthy of the MEAC offensive player of the year in order to take some pressure off the young fellow. I am confident that the Blue Death Defense will more than hold its own.
I think Quick has the talent to get the job done; now it's all about settling his nerves and showing his mastery of the offense. Stay cool, hit the open receivers and most importantly, ELIMINATE THE TURNOVERS!

I agree you boss. Stay away from the interceptions or don't leave the ball on the ground. We have enough big play tools in our arsenal to actually win this thing. A&T will want to shorten this game as much as possible which means just one thing - run the football. This contest will rest squarely on the shoulders of our offensive line and they have stay away from those drive killing penalties in the red zone. We now have a strong enough kicking game that can consistently keep us either within striking distance or out in front if we can't punch it in every time we get the ball inside the forty. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6p1fCAuqDow&feature=player_embedded

Damn, I almost forgot about our revamped kicking game. That will definitely benefit us if this game remains close in the second half.
I am very confident this year that if we can get near the redzone we will at least be able to come away with 3 points.

The offensive line has to step up big time. In our threee previous meetings with CC we haven't put any points on the board in the first half. We need some long time consuming drives and at least 10 points on the board by halftime. The defense has to do a better job of rushing the passer and getting a jump on those short routes. Also have to be disciplined on those screen passes which hurt us. Thier qb went 18-24 in last years game and that simply can't happen again if we expect to keep the game close.

Quicks a fantastic on the run but I'd bet CC is going to put 8 in the box with blitz packages to force Quick to pass. I dont think the QB run option will be there.

We just need to get the play makers in space and pick them apart Use all the weapons we have and not just focus on one player. Spread the ball around if we are passing and not try to force the long ball. Just pick them apart. 8 in the Bx is no big deal if you use your backs right, get them one on one with their LB's in space on quick hitters and the rest will work it's self out The QB should have a good day running along with the RB's if they work it right ;D What worries me is the O-line If they can hold up and control the line we can control the game. A&T can not allow the D to stay on the field with 3 and out's by the O The play of the D & O lines will be the KEY to a win are lose

I hope that Quick will do a good enough job to win this game and take over as the starting QB. Kindle has been here 3 years and has had a couple of incidence that put him on the bad side of Coach Broadway. He may be pretty good on the field but he has poor judgement off the field. He needs to grow up and get his act together. He is blowing his talent and wasting our time.

This should definitely be a wake-up call, however.

Kindle will be ok . As Bornthrilla said "sometimes young people screw up". And also young players like to test new coaches to see what day can get away with!!! Not saying that Broadway is new but one year to kids that have been their 2 years is new. Kindle just tested the waters and found out that he could not swim as good as he thought he could...lol Also we are luck that a few other star players are not on the sideline!! With players going in your face toe to toe with coaches, So Kindle is not the only one that needs to show better judgement and growth . I can say one thing that RB would not have done that to Rags..lol

Even happens at the big schools:
Michigan suspends 2 for Bama game By Chantel Jennings WolverineNation
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan coach Brady Hoke said Friday that both starting running back Fitzgerald Toussaint and backup defensive end Frank Clark had been suspended for one game and would not make the trip to Dallas for the No. 8 Wolverines' season opener against second-ranked Alabama.
"The decision was not easy, but I feel it is in the best interest of this program and for these kids, and those always will be my priorities," Hoke said. "We have choices every day, and you have to be accountable to this program, your teammates, your family and the University of Michigan."
Toussaint rushed for 1,041 yards and nine touchdowns last season. On Tuesday, the redshirt junior pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of operating a vehicle while visually impaired after having been charged in late July for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. That night, Toussaint had a 0.12 blood-alcohol level, .04 over the legal limit in Michigan.
Clark, a sophomore who was fighting for a starting spot at rush end, was charged in July with second-degree home invasion, a felony. He has yet to be arraigned.
Both have been practicing with the team after sitting out the first part of Michigan's fall camp. On the depth chart for the game against Alabama, which was released Monday, Toussaint was listed as the starting running back and Clark was listed as the backup at rush end behind junior Jibreel Black.
"These are our sons," Hoke said. "These are real lives, and I think too often many people forget that. It's not always just about football, or a football decision. It's about teaching life lessons, and if this helps these kids or someone else make a right decision later, then we've won. That is ultimately what we are here for, to help them grow and mature to become better sons, fathers, husbands and members of society.
"They are good young men who made poor choices, and we will continue to support them as members of our team and family."
The Wolverines will likely use running backs Thomas Rawls, Vincent Smith, Justice Hayes perhaps along with newcomers Dennis Norfleet and Drake Johnson against the defending national champion Crimson Tide.
Clark's next court date is Sept. 11, three days after the home opener against Air Force. He closed his freshman season with a season-high five tackles and an interception in the Allstate Sugar Bowl win over Virginia Tech, putting him in a position to earn playing time on a depleted defensive line this year.
