MY son told me that there is an article today in News&Record that says ex-Tar Heel Jared McAdoo, 6'4", 275 DE, "is not with us anymore", according to Coach Broadway.

I guess it does not matter but the article gave no indication as to why he is not with us anymore.

That's one thing I like about Broadway. As much as he can help it he's gonna keep personal info about the players confidential. When he says a kids no longer on the team that about all you're going to get from him.

Even though, it's disappointing. Because, I was looking forward to seeing this kid balling in the blue and gold.

That's one thing that I have always respected about coach He only gives out the need to know information And things you don't need to know You'll have to look somewhere other then A&T. Wasn't the McAdoo kid part of that law suite against UNC

If you read the article carefully, there was enough information to question why he was considered in the first place. That reporter did not just ask about McAdoo haphazardly. He knew or suspected the answer before asking Broadway. The article is just too long not have had a hidden suspicion (McAdoo's history) by the writer. A&T can now move on without having been embarassed by using a player that has a very questionable history. Broadway used great instinct and judgement not to fall victim to a reporter's inquiry. He protected himself, the university and McAdoo.

It is very rare that when an athlete transfers to a HBCU from a Div. I school that they pan out. They almost always come to a HBCU with their tails between their legs when they screw up and get kicked out of school. They are so intent on going to a major university over a HBCU and then when they screw up they want us to bail them out. They rather go to a big school and sit on the bench for 3 or 4 years than to come to a HBCU. Their personal and social history almost always repeat its self. That article told enough about this kid to almost predict he was going to screw up again. Coach gave him a chance and he did not use it to his advantage. I believe that we should stop taking other peoples problems and concentrate on what we have.
