Aggie Monster, I don't know if you watched The Wire or not. But this is like Bunny Colvin legalizing drugs in Hamsterdam to lower the crime in the rest of the district. Let NSS aka Stringer and aggie2ru aka Avon post all they want to over here ;D Not a great example. Who is Bunny? Lol! I'm going to have to ship my Wire DVD's to California for you "There's never been a paper bag for drugs. Until now." When the department brass issued an ultimatum to commanders demanding that they effectively manage the crime rate in their districts, Western District's Major Colvin didn't re-classify felonies or juke the stats, as other district supervisors did. Instead, Colvin actually attempted to reduce the crime, and he did so by attempting something as outrageous as it was effective: he legalized drugs in his district. A career cop emboldened by his pending retirement, and he longed to make a real impact in the community. He ordered his troops to push all criminal elements into three largely uninhabited areas with the following caveat issued to dealers: if you're caught breaking the law anywhere outside of those three locales, there will be a harsh penalty. It was a long-view strategy to centralize the drug elements of the city, letting them operate with impunity so long as they did the least damage possible to the surrounding neighborhoods, and so long as it achieved a remarkable reduction in crime throughout the district as a whole. But it was also untenable politically. When the plan was exposed by Councilman Carcetti - ambitious to discredit Mayor Royce and his administration - Colvin was made a scapegoat, relieved of duty and forced to retire at a lieutenant's grade.

Westcoast, you haven't seen The Wire?!
Then you probably didn't even get my response to the question, LOL Go rent that thing man. It's definitely on my Top 5 series(Cable or TV) of all time. Bluehaze's comparison of the "firing squad" section was dead on.

All jokes aside, it may take an asswhipping by Central in a jam-packed Corbett Center tomorrow to open folks eyes about the plight of our basketball program. I never want A&T to lose to Central in nothing (spades, tiddly winks, backgammon, etc.).....but if it takes a current defeat for future prosperity.......

Eaves got beat by Central in Corbett so that won't be a factor. Now if the game didn't sell out, then there will be big red flags going up in our AD's office.

Alonzo Lee's last football game: SCSU 48 A&T 3 - AT AGGIE STADIUM. Folks recall the chancellor leaving this game in the 3rd qtr after SCSU was blowing our doors in. It's one thing to lose to a rival, but when you get punished in front of your own crowd, it stings much more. I went to the NCCU/A&T game in Durham. Although neither team played well, in the last 10 minutes, we got physically dominated. I hope our team comes to play tomorrow. Central has been playing well lately. Their team (and crowd) is coming into Corbett tomorrow, looking to beat us up again. If Eaves and the team ain't ready tomorrow - it won't be a pretty sight....

First of all, I clearly stated I don't like losing to Central in nothing.......
However, I'm a HUGE BELIEVER in a short-term setback for a long-term gain. I'm going to the game tomorrow. I don't want us to lose to Central. However, if Central beats us by 18-20 points in Corbett, THERE IS NO WAY THIS BEATING WOULD BE SWEPT UNDER THE RUG.....
Sooner or later, these asswhippings we're taking and our lack of progress has to sink into the thickest of Aggie skulls. It isn't okay for Aggie basketball to be average/subaverage in the MEAC. I won't ever accept this B-S. A&T can put together a talented and academically-inclined basketball team. I refuse to accept that this is some type of impossible mission.
Sooner or later, there will be a game that really points to our basketball ineptitude on Front Street and opens all Aggies' eyes up to it. Tomorrow may be that game.....

I posted this earlier and stills holds true regardless of the Central game:
You boys might as well calm down; because the most likely scenrio is that Eaves signs a new contract. Lets hope his son comes to play in Aggie land and brings along a couple of true post players along for the ride.
Lets jut hope we show up to play ball tomorrow; If we play to our ability we win be 10 points or so.
