Lol, who does the AD report too? And when is the AD going to release this information concerning a plan for athletics so he can achieve his boss objectives? So what a second? You are expecting a list of the goals and objectives of football when we never received one when Lee was fired from football? Nor did we receive one before we got new coaches in Volleyball, Track , and Baseball? Where are the plans................' Let me help you, they don't exist I see your point, sort of. There was no "official" release of the plan other than Hilton(who was interim at the time) saying "We’re going to identify the best candidate as quickly as we can”. But who(meaning what univeristy) actually releases an "official" plan? I would love to see one from ANY school. The reason FBS schools have to let their plan be known is because it would leak anyway due to the large media coverage they have. A coach couldn't step foot on campus without getting his picture taken. An email couldn't get sent without it leaking to the media. In this case I just think you guys are expecting to much. What type of report do you want? I'm thinking you want something you can hold people feet to a fire and place blame when it doesn't come through or falls apart. Also, are you saying dont fire a TERRIBLE coach cause they dont let everyone know what the plan is after they do it? Keep a coach who hasn't done anything over 9 years just because it can get worse? Not much worse. Maybe I'm way off. Maybe you donate waaay more than me and think you should be privy to more insider info or something? I have no idea. I'll just assume that. Even though I contribute, I'm not a huge donor. I do my part, but I got kids, LOL. Maybe if I throw a few more hundred in the pot I can demand this type of stuff also . How about a plan that someone is thinking short , mid and long range in our athletic department. That its not a fly by the seat of the pants operation. How can you succeed if you don't set a goal? I can't hire or fire anyone? Hunter was a horrible coach , who was before Eaves. I remember we had seasons with 1 win, 4 wins, 6 wins. And that was including the cupcakes. I'm no T. Boone Pickins but I'm no dummy either. At this point, Why should i continue to cut a check to athletics when there is no type of information or plans coming from the department. My money would be better spent in the School of Business and Economics helping a student who needs money for tuition. If i'm expecting to much from A&T Athletics to show me the plan and vision for the department and how its going to improve, then isn't A&T expecting to much wanting alums to give back?

How about a plan to promote more alumni giving? Now this I agree with. That has always been a weak point in A&T athletics. I had to seek out how to donate instead of someone coming to me. That's backwards. So that's a good place to start. And Professor, dont get me wrong. i aint saying let them off the hook for a plan. I'm just saying be reasonable with your request. The point I was making about donations is if I was giving more than what I am already giving I might expect what you are expecting as well, but I'm not so we are just probably approaching this from 2 different levels. Shoot, I'm not even a season ticket holder anymore since this past year because we dont get my son's pop warner schedule until mid August(and its' an hour and a half drive). I also got another one hitting pop warner soon, so I wont be buying season tickets for a loooong time. Unlike Oleschool, I cant buy season tickets and just not show up. I'd rather just donate and make the games when I can and buy the online games. Hence the reason for me wanting more evening/night games.

captaggie.........unfortunately, in my opinion, that is a deaftist attitude to assume "there is nothing we can do they already know how we feel". Unfortunate, but it reflects not only your way of looking at solving things but a lot other people may feel this way also. That is the sad part.
I have been a fighter ALL my life. I attended A&T when people told me, "he won't amount to anything". Some people told me I would never get a job w/the company I applied for after graduating. On and on..........so it does not surprise me that there are people on here will TALK about what they see is wrong but for whatever reason WILL NOT talk to the people who amke the decisions.
Me like Mike Singletary said, "Cain't do it". I've been talking to the decision-makers! We need more to do so if we expect change.

This is a business, bottom line. Show me one business that flies off the cuff. Show me a business who keeps its investors in the dark on all things. You show me a business that operates like that , and u will show me a business that's failing or closed. I just want a plan. Some kind of information so people can see where the program is , what's needed , and where we are going. I don't think its that hard

i agree, professor. folk want to know how their money is gonna be spent and ya can't do that if ya don't have a well laid out plan. again, ya can't just throw money in the air and "make it rain" without any sense of direction.
if you're a businessman and you're soliciting funds from potential investors, you won't get a single dime if you don't have a "detailed" plan because immediately they'll know you will fail. i can't overemphasize how important it is to have a plan. i mean, seriously folks.
and monster, the reason i don't mind buying football season tickets even though i can't attend all the games is because its a way of donating while getting some value in return. i still donate my nickels and dimes to the aaf (formerly to the aggie club) every year, and probably could afford to donate a little more. but i ain't gonna just throw my money away if there's no plan on how its gonna be spent. i can find better things to do with my discretionary funds.
if i felt our admins really had their act together and were very organized and professional, i'd consider giving a little more. but we're not there yet. we might get there one day, but we're not there right now.
folks, let's face it. athletics "is not" a priority at a&t. otherwise, we wouldn't have one of the worst athletic departments in the meac. when athletics becomes a priority at a&t, it will show in the performance of our teams. and judging by the performance of our teams, we're definitely not there yet...
