I do no this A&T can not afford to Buy Eaves out and then turn around and hire a high priced coach. The # don't work. And this thing about hireing a D-2 are D-3 high profile coach!! You need to look at what some of the high profile coaches make at that level you may change your mind....lol You can not cut other programs funds like that and if you do it will catch up with you. Let his contract run out and move from their. If A&T is to call it's self a D-1 program but can not fund a volleyball team then we have no business in D-1. I my opinion.

Oleschoolaggie wants a one-arm head basketball coach for the men's program. I guess he thinks the men's basketball program is in the "Fugitive" series. ;D

Oleschoolaggie wants a one-arm head basketball coach for the men's program. I guess he thinks the men's basketball program is in the "Fugitive" series. ;D jazz, coaching basketball is not rocket science. there's way more qualified coaches available than there are college coaching jobs, and that's a "fact". this is not speculation on my part, ask any athletic director if you don't believe me. there are guys like david six at hampton who came "straight out of high school" and promptly won an meac championship and took kentucky to overtime at the big dance losing only by 4 points. 3 years ago, six was coaching high school and had never coached college before. no one in greensboro had probably ever heard of him before he became head coach at hampton and there's plenty more david six's out there who have never been heard of that are very qualified to coach at the college level. you just have to know a good basketball coach when you see one, that's all. but there's plenty of them out there and i know that for a "fact". anybody who has ties to aau, high school, and/or college basketball coaching can tell you that. you've got guys like vcu's shaka smart who had never been a head basketball coach before "at any level" and he never played pro ball anywhere. yet, in only his 2nd year as head coach of vcu, he took vcu to the final four. now he's worth more than a million dollars a year because he came out of nowhere and took a midmajor to the final four. imagine where a&t would be right now if we had hired an "unheard of" shaka smart 3 or 4 years ago before he became a hot commodity? you think there's only one david six and one shaka smart out there? i'm telling you there's tons of them out there, but you just have to know how to identify the good ones over the bad ones like hampton and vcu did... ..

Yes The OSA but they also had and Administration that backed them as far as giving players a chance that had questionable grades coming out of High School,Transfers and JC!! Something A&T is not going to do (I could be wrong, so if you must correct me do so). That lack of support PGIN holds A coaches ability to go after a lot of players that can help their programs out. Good player make good coaches Great players make Great coaches that's just the way it works. A&T has good players but no great players. When I saw A&T play ASU last year and they only lost by 4 points a guy said that they should win the MEAC, Not!!! Now that is on the coach to have them maintain that level of play that they showed at ASU. Now if you want the win the MEAC the Administration must support him.

saabman how do you claim to know so much. How do you know we can't afford to buy Eaves contract out. Do you work in the athletic department or Dowdy Building. You claim to no so much.
The A D said it was his job to find the "Money" so let him find it. As have been proven just this year they found money to pay Broadway and they can find money to get a new basketball coach if they want too. Why wait another year for a failed program.
They probably can find a good coach who is willing to coach for less money just to get an opportunity. But, quit saying we can't afford to do this and that, cause you are only speculating and for sure "Don't Know".

Looks like Coach Eaves is off to another crappy season. How much longer will we have to endure this? DURHAM, N.C. -- Dominique Sutton scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half to help North Carolina Central make its debut in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play a success, beating North Carolina A&T 65-46 Saturday.
Sutton also grabbed 11 rebounds. Landon Clement scored 16 points and Ray Willis 15 for the Eagles, (5-3, 1-0), who won their fourth consecutive game, all at home. Nic Simpson led the Aggies (4-4, 0-1) with 12 points, and his 3-pointer with 4:52 remaining was the final field goal for North Carolina A&T, which had won its past four games. North Carolina A&T shot just 21.7 percent (5 of 23) in the second half. Willis scored 13 points in the first half, when North Carolina Central took a 35-28 lead. The Aggies never cut the margin to fewer than seven points in the second half. Adrian Powell had nine points and 10 rebounds for North Carolina A&T.

I've seen some bad Aggie performances in my time - this one may be near the top, if not at the peak. I've never seen our team so anemic. This was as sorry a game this team has ever played. WOW!

We are headed in the same directions as we have for the last 9 years. No where. Eaves just can't coach or recruit and that is a fact. Just look at his record. If you don't produce in coaching you got to go. I don't know why our athletic department can't see this. If you want to Keep Eaves around reassign him somewhere else and get somebody in here who can coach. Enough is enough.

If you keep showing up for these crappy games they will just keep Eaves around. I stopped going to the men's games years ago after it was obvious Eaves couldn't coach and the team wasn't competitive. Stop attending the men's game and someone in the administration may finally get the message. I will not pay my money to watch an Eaves coached team play awful.
Now someone will get on here and argue that we need to go to the game to support the kids. Well the kids deserve a decent coach so they have a chance to win. And Eaves is a lousy coach.
