My argument is about the budget. I have stated the fact that Eaves has had only one year of winning a game in the MEAC Tourny. There is no excuse for that, so I am on the same page with the complaints that Eaves should have done better in the Tournament in the last 3 years.
Bozeman has done a very good job of winning at Morgan State but they are also one season away from getting a NCAA Ban due to poor academics performance and they must greatly improve their APR to be eligible for post season play in 2013.
Someone posted that Summer School is not part of the budget but for men's basketball at A&T it is. Eaves must scrip and save during the season to have enough money to send his guys to summer school. The other A&T coaches spend their budget and then ask for money for summer school. The fans and the University will come up with summer school money for football players who are about to flunk out and Bibbs has been able to get some extra money for summer school.
If and when A&T hires a new men's basketball coach with the pedigree of a Broadway or Bibbs, that coach is not going to go for pinching pennies to save for summer school and the salary will be higher than Eaves that's for sure. We may end up with a better basketball team that won't qualify for post season unless A&T is willing to spend the money to keep the players eligible.

I just think we are selling ourselves short. Bibbs and her crew just beat an ACC team (Clemson) by 10 pts. Bibbs does a great job recruiting, is media-savy, and has errrrone excited.
Broadway has created a buzz with what is happening with the football team.
We have had what looks to be very decent hires in track (even though I am a "Space Man" loyalist), women's volleyball, and baseball.
Men's basketball has gotten to the point where we get excited if we beat "anybody", even if its teams we should be blowing out. Wake Forest had to "sweat bullets" last nite to get by NCCU (14pts.), Norfolk St. beat TCU by 13pts., Coppin St. played national champ UCONN tight before they pulled away by 17pts., Hampton played Rutgers close also. It's time to stop trembling and being scarrrred.
What really gets me is that we have a lot CPA's on here who can count A&T's money and can say how much money we have available to spend and what we can spend it on. Let's let the "pay masters" decide if they want to move on from mediocrity in men's basketball. AD Hilton has said "leave finding money" up to him.
Eaves is not the only coach who can keep our APR straight and using the budget as an excuse has REALLY gotten old.
Again, Coach Bibbs congratulations and thanks for representing. More people respect your abilities than they do the"other" head basketball coach at our university.

I concur with you aggie2u. No way Bibbs has the budget of the men's program but the difference is like night and day.
I too am not going to buy into that budget argument anymore. Like Broadway says "you play with the cards you've been dealt and stop whining about what you don't have."
You either really work hard at improving your team and concentrate on recruiting the best athletes you can find or you don't.

WE ARE GOING TO BE THE SAME THIS YEAR AS WE WERE THE LAST 4 OR 5 YEARS AND WE WILL BE THE SAME NEXT YEAR IF WE KEEP THE SAME COACH. WILL YOU GUYS QUIT MAKING EXCUSES ABOUT THE BUDGET, APR, UPR, TCR AND ANY OTHER KID OF "R". WE NEED A COACH!! HE HAS HAD HIS CHANCE. IF HE WERE AT A POWER HOUSE COLLEGE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN GONE 6 YEARS AGO. HE HAS GOTTEN US AS FAR AS HE CAN. GIVE HIM A JOB ON CAMPUS AND THANK HIM AND MOVE ON. TIME FOR A CHANGE!!

NEW VENDOR - CORBETT CENTER. PLEASE BOYCOTT THEM. I DON'T KNOW WHO HIRED THIS COMPANY AND WHY THEY DID. THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS ... HOT DOG $4 - BIGGER BUT NOT BETTER ... SODAS $3 AND NOT COLD ... SMALL BOX OF POP CORN $3 WHICH USE TO BE $1 AND CANDY $3. I WAS SCARED TO ASK THE PRICE OF THE PEANUTS.
OUR STUDENTS DON'T HAVE THIS KIND OF MONEY AND THE AGGIE FANS DON'T LIKE THE PRICES EITHER.
BOYCOTT, BOYCOTT, BOYCOTT UNTIL THEY DROP THE PRICES OR LEAVE. THEY ARE PIMPING US AND OUR "ADMINISTRATION" IS LETTING THEM DO THIS. CHECK OUT WHO IS BEHIND THE COUNTER SMILING AT YOU AND BEATING YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY.
BOYCOTT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those prices are not out the box. If the school can pick up additional funds then thats good. At most sporting events you will pay close to $6 for a soda. Try paying the prices at the movies.
Or just eat before the game!!

Them hot dogs might cost $4 but they a gooder than a mofo.
I took my wife out to see the new Twilight movie (don't ask) and I spent about $20 in concessions. Any time you buy food outside of Burger King you should plan on spending double digits. You are paying for the convience of eating something while you watch the game.

i haven't had any of the hot dogs, but i know we're in dire need of revenue for our athletic department. i agree with most others. try going to an fbs football game to purchase a hot dog, or an nba game, or a major concert at the coliseum. you will pay an arm and a leg.
if a&t was amongst the most affluent d1 programs in the country, it might be understandable to complain if hot dogs cost too much. but we're not affluent, so i have no problem with a&t charging rates similar to what you'd pay at the coliseum...

When we start conference play they sell fish and chicken, and fries at the game, and the price is very resonable.

I brought my grandson a large popcorn and a 20 oz. bottle soda at the Soul circus a few weeks back and a hotdog and drink for myself and it hit me up for $18 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
A&T's prices are extremely cheap in comparison.
