Aggies Coach Broadway Reprimanded for Unsportsmanlike Conduct 11/09/2011 North Carolina A&T State head football coach Rod Broadway has been reprimanded by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) for displaying unsportsmanlike conduct during the Aggies football game against Florida A&M on Saturday, November 5. MEAC Commissioner Dennis Thomas said in a statement on Tuesday that "the conference expects all student-athletes, coaches, and athletic staff to demonstrate good sportsmanship before, during and after all athletic events." In addition to the reprimand, Coach Broadway will be prohibited from coaching on the sidelines during the Aggies next scheduled football game against South Carolina State on Saturday, Nov. 12. He will be allowed to coach the team from the press box during the game and overtime if needed. www.meacsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=20800&ATCLID=205330458

Heard he used a lot of foul language on the sidelines which was audible to folks in the stands? If that was the case, at least 30% of the coaches in this country would be sanctioned. From what I understand (and I was at the game but I did not see this), Broadway made physical contact with one or more of the game officials while leaving the field right after the first half ended. But I have not heard anything about this since Sunday, so I figured that it was not a big deal.

I'll bet it has something to do with that call the female official made that when we got the us 1st down,But their was no Flag thrown. Broadway was in her ear about that one. Other then that I don't no??? That MEAC group is a Cheeky, Cheeky Group!! lol. Hell I would be out for the season if I coached in the MEAC. It not like they are playing on ESPN .

;D Ima tell you that MEAC crew tries to take over games and really calls too many penalties. Its like they have to show their authority so that all eyes will be on them. (sound familiar???) I am glad Broadway shows some fire because it may hurt him a little now I think the team benfits in the end. It means "I'm standing up for my team". Gon git funky wit it "Funky B" you know what you are doing!! Let's take it to their azzzzzz Saturday. ;D

That crew is simply horrible all the way around. Every game they have officiated has resulted for over 290 yards on average in penalties. She stinks, that crew stinks, and the Comissioner of the MEAC sucks.
There it is in a nutshell. Broadway gets applause form from me neven though he lost his temper but I can understand why. Playing at FAMU is like playing in South Central LA.

Uh, no.
We all know Broadway has a penchant for using colorful language. Regardless of how horrible the refs are, the conference is, life is, whatever, the head coach needs to maintain his composure. Or else he ends up not allowed to coach from the sidelines for his next game. I can't applaud behavior that gets you banned from the sidelines at all. That being typed, I'm betting it won't happen again.
Even a good coach can make a bad decision every now and again.

This same crew(with the little white lady as the head referee) is terrible cause, they gave us a sideline warning at Howard saying coaches were out of the box. Guess who they thought were the coaches it was me and the bus driver since we had A&T gear on. Broadway went ballistic and could not believe the line judge threw the flag. The line judge actually threw the flag in our direction.

This is some BS! Did the MEAC penalize FAMU for the band incident? Last time A&T played at FAMU there was an incident with the band. The time has come for us to stand up! When those suckers come to GSO next year, we should give them a not so warm welcome.

That's not even close to mature.
Gator, you're waaay better than that. You know you'd be the first one complaining about the N&R giving us bad coverage after some riot that came as a result of us giving an opponent a "not so warm welcome."
This is still a place of higher education. A real man takes his punishment and moves on. You don't complain about what somebody else did or didn't get.
There's a judge in DC that regularly appeared in front of and she ruled against my clients every time. She had a color bias (I'm dark, she ain't) and it showed. I used to sit in her courtroom and just watch how she treated white folks, lighter skinned folks, and dark folks, and the dark ones always got the short end of the stick. I didn't give her a "not so warm welcome." I gave her the respect she was due as a judge, even though she didn't give me any respect at all. I also appealed and won every last decision she made against me and almost got her azz thrown right off the bench by explaining her behavior to the proper people at the proper time.
I could have just cussed her out right there in the courtroom (and Lord knows, I wanted to) but at the end of the day who is that going to hurt? Me, when I'm sitting in jail for contempt. There's a proper way to handle things.
That being typed, he might use it as a motivational ploy to get his boys fired up. The guy is pretty smart.

With all due respect to you Brother Dooms, I hate FAMU!
To me it's not about maturity, it's about sending a message to end the non-sense. I haven't heard any other team get harrassed like they've done us the last two times we've played down there. It's like they deliberately or intentionally target our players.
I'm for sending a message - An eye for an eye!

I was dam piss how in the hell can you take a 1st down back and give no F. explanation and no flag was not even thrown. I freaky loss my dam mind.
Every game I have seen her officiates I have came close to leaving.
I like that he do not let nothing get pass him. he is not that passive coach. Full of fire we need that. This is going to hurt bc he is such a motivator for the players
