The problem with being # 1 is Staying #1. Now that we have it we must play like we Deserve it. The Howard game is just another stepping stone and all games are Must win games from now on.

Yeah it looked pretty empty except the bands. Now we need to solidify things and do what we are supposed to do and beat Howard . ESPN mentioned us from time time tonight and Mike Mayhew some and they pretty much agreed Broadway should be coach of the year if we stay on track but you could tell they were befuddled by our being in first place.
Saturday's game is really huge now. After seeing Norfolk St. against BCU, I worry more about Howard because they have nothing to lose on their homecoming but I still like us winning going away. Jenkins must have learned a little something from Broadway about playing run defense first and establishing the power running game. NSU was totally dependent on the pass all night and Walley ain't all that.

Whats up The AGGIE ONE :They think that A&T's wins were Fluke wins ! But that's cool , I don't get into rankings until the end of the season. That is the only time that rankings count to me when we have played and won that last game. Now if we continue to play the way we are playing , AS I HAVE ALWAYS SAID WE'LL BE JUST FINE!!! BUT I DO NOT FEEL THAT WE HAVE PLAYED THAT PERFECT MISTAKE FREE GAME YET ON EITHER SIDE OF THE BALL. KINDEL IS DUE FOR A BRAKE OUT GAME, IF HE WILL JUST RELAX AN NOT PRESS HIS GAME AN LET THE GAME COME TO HIM ! HE WILL BE THE BEST QB IN THE MEAC. MAYHEW AND THE OTHER BACKS SHOULD BE-ABLE TO RUN FREE. IF THAT HAPPENS IT WILL OPEN UP THE FIELD FOR KINDLE AND THE RECEIVERS.

anybody see this thing live? i'm hearing word that no-folks' stadium looked empty... ? say it ain't so... Because most BCF fans aren't serious about football. They could care less that it was a nationally televised game. Maybe they should have had Weezy perform at halftime...then they would have had a crowd.

Remember, that they also show the visitors side on those ESPNU games because most HBCUs dont have camera stuff on the visiting side to show the home side.

They should really only televise Thursday night games that are going to get a crowd, i.e. us vs. Central, Hampton vs. NSU, FAMU vs. BCU. How many people are really going to go watch NSU and BCU on a Thursday night, even with both bands there?
Those empty stands looked terrible.
BCU's band sounded great, unless of course you were the BCU quarterback trying to get the play call to the team while your band is blowing "Let's Go Wildcats" the whole time.

I'm feeling pretty good about being in first place right now...but, there's still a lot of football ahead. Another thing...we just inherited some unwanted pressure after last night's game. All our games played to date have been pressure free and we had absolutely nothing to lose, that has now changed. But, we can do it!

Maybe they should have had Weezy perform at halftime...then they would have had a crowd. Remember, that they also show the visitors side on those ESPNU games because most HBCUs dont have camera stuff on the visiting side to show the home side. yeah, i agree monster. most of the camera angles were of the visitors side. but according to the box score, norfolk had 10,053 people in attendance which isn't bad considering it was a thursday night. sometimes our home tv games look like the stadium is empty too for the very same reason. nonetheless, i think nsu is for real and their qb (chris walley) is very accurate. the problem last night though was that bcu was putting all kinds of pressure on walley. he got sacked 5 times last night, whereas he hadn't been sacked but 7 times "total" all season long. that is, until bcu came to town. also, i think walley's passing percentage is so high (about 70% until last night) because he throws a lot of underneath stuff and bubble screens. but he is an accurate passer and we've got to remember that dsu gave us some problems in the 2nd half with underneath stuff and bubble screens. we'll have to do a better job of game planning for that when we play nsu. but all in all, i think last night's game was a matter of bcu wanting that game more than norfolk did. that game was a "do or die" game for bcu. had they loss that game, they essentially would've been eliminated from having any chance of winning the meac championship or gaining an atlarge bid. their hopes are still slim, but its possible for them to at least win a share of the meac championship with 2 conference losses...
