In a previous thread on our major sports rivals back in mid september, I included both Morgan and BCU among our usual rivals ( nccu wssu scsu howard ) never in my wildest dreams did expect us to beat both of them on back to back saturdays. I am ohhhh so happy with these 2 wins , I didn.t mention that I also dislike DSU , can we make it 3 in a row . I belive, Yes we can , keep hope alive , Aggie Pride , see yall saturday

I don't think anyone at Grambling ran Broadway away. His decision to come back to North Carolina was for family and personal reasons. that may be true, you can never really rely on information posted on message boards. but if you have grambling alums daddytiger and machiavelli tell the story, indeed they ran him out...

GSU is getting excactly what they deserve. I'm not shedding any tears over them or about the way they acted when Coach Broadway came up here to talk to us about the job here. Folks here want to win. They were some how insulted that anyone would even dare consider another college job other than at the mighty GSU.
I don't know what ghost they seem to be chasing down in Louisana. Wake up, it happens evey year, and long term commitment frtom people that really like you and want you means a lot more than a long gone tradition that ended well over 25 years ago.
In today's real world of college football, only two things matter and they are winning and keeping a clean program.

From what an alum told me, Broadway didn't reallylike it there and didn't really hide the fact. She said he was all about money and constantly trying to strongarm them into a new deal or constantly looking to hit the road.
Methinks he's a Carolina boy at heart and wanted to come on home. And if you're desire is to coach an hbcu in North Carolina, which one would you prefer to coach? We got what we wanted, he got what he wanted, and Grambling got what they wanted. Everybody should be happy. I can't see why Aggie fans are continually on here worrying about how bad Grambling is doing this year. I couldn't care less myself. Grambling losing doesn't affect Ayantee at all.
As for the postgame celebration, I hope it's long over. Del State would love to ruin homecoming for us. We haven't won homecoming since what, 2003? Or did Lee win one?

It was George Small as head coach and the late LB Herbert Dixon's 22- yard pass interception TD return just before haltime that broke open the game as A&T eventually won a defensive game 22-7.

i really don't have a vested interest in grambling either. but the way daddytiger and machiavelli carried on during the time broadway interviewed at a&t, they gave me the impression that grambling folk didn't want broadway at gsu. they really bad mouthed the guy before and after he interviewed for our job. and some of the things they stated wasn't very polite, to say the least.
but i definitely agree, all parties got what they wanted. we wanted a proven championship caliber coach, broadway wanted to be closer to his family, and grambling wanted an eddie robinson disciple/alum as their coach. so everybody seemingly got what they wanted, but i think only the gsu folk are currently unhappy with the aftermath...

Hey Guys, Broadway was never accepted at Grambling especially with Edddie Robinson old clan. From what I gathered, they conspired to get rid of Broadway in advance so that Doug could come back as coach with his son as quarterback. This was a done deal even before Broadway final season there. They did everything possible to make this fruition come true and it happened. Do ya'll remembered how one of Grambling ex-player and contributor confronted Broadway after a lost to Southern in the Bayou Classic, that was just the beginning. I Knew we had a shot at getting Broadway, that's why I called Dr Crabtree (search committee) and recommended him for the job.

On a side note did Coach Broadway (Funky B) bust a move on the side line for like 1/2 second ? Yep. At the 1:23 mark he did a little jig. ;D Wasn't Broadway bustin a move , that was coach Wagner. Broadway wears the sweater vest.
